Presently a member myself. But I will soon be experimenting with Multi Chip LED technology. 20w-60w of LED's in one 1.5" square chip!!!

PS, I love my Halides, what I HATE is my $175/month Power Bill!!!! I'm only home 3 wks out of evry 6 too.

Fans are a little noisy, but only have them on in August, Sept. My fixture does however, make a loud cracking sound when it cools down. Sounds just like glass breaking. Even though I know what it is I still check the tank every time I hear it. Scared the crap out of me the first time!

One of Ol' Blue's big brothers is a dual Bluewave 7 ballast. It's actually very loud with it's buzzity-hum thing. My dual PFO is quite a bit better.

Unauthorized use of the logo is encouraged btw!

I'm open to changes to the image (currently an EVIL Sol fixture) and the 3-word slogan so let me know if it needs changing. Maybe the noisey bit is unique to only a few of the old magnetics =)

I got 3 250W MH on my 150 and I got to have fan's on all year round! Tank get's 82+ even in winter if I don't :(
