I absolutely LOVE clams. My first attempt at owning one though, I was not successful. :sad:
Thank you for sharing your pics. ~drool~ Any tips for a newbie so I might have a better go at it the second time around? Is any one clam easier than another? |
derasas, squamosas and hippos are considered to be more tolerant of tank conditions......I think some people just try clams too soon in their tanks life.....they really do need a mature, stable tank.......

Well I must admit I'm an addict too. It's been 18 long years... sob... and still going.
This whole clam addiction is actually a vicious circle. First you get a few clams, then a few more, then a few fish to feed the clams ammonia, then a few more clams, then more fish. The cycle never ends... but the good thing is you can throw out the bio pellets and drink the vodka. ;D Just remember... clams aren't hard on the liver. |
