Hey Ian, got a question for you. As you know, I received 1/2 my order of 1000ml of pellets. My question is: my tank and sump are aprox. 250 gallons which requires about 1000ml of pellets. Should I start with the 500ml, or wait until the other 500ml arrives? (I'll be running them in a Two Little Fishies reactor.)

Actually starting with the 500ml would be highly recommended, just like Zeo you want to start slow, this would be a great opportunity to do so, let me know how it goes!

The other pellets will be in later this week!

Yes there is, I will have them by middle of next week.

Wife got the pellet's yesterday, but I won't be able to start using them till the 20th. Will post updates then

I'm contemplating using this product. How many pellets would I need for a system that has about 400g of total water volume. Thanks Laurie

Good question, I would probably start with about 1000-1500ml of Pellets, you would also need to run a larger reactor for this volume of pellets. From all of the reading I have been doing it has become clear that it is pretty tough to overdose these pellets, supposedly they have a very large safety margin.

You would still want to start slow as to not shock your system. Our Nextreef MR1 XL would be a great reactor, also allowing room for expansion.
