Todd,

it seems that the tubes are not operated correctly and the ballast shuts power off in order to protect the tube.
- Check the wiring between ballast and tube
- These wires must be short! usually max. 1 or 2m - should be printed on the ballast or in the datasheet of the ballast

They are over 2m right now. I will try shortening them. Now that you mention it I do remember reading something about this on either this thread or another thread. I shall let you know shortly!

Todd 10-18-2007 06:06 AM

I have shortened the wires, but now it will cut out at a lower % then before!

Todd 10-18-2007 07:07 AM

I tried it with only 1 bulb as the other has been acting a little funny, and it went from 0 to 100% and back down just fine. Could it be a problem with the bulb that is causing the problem?

Matthias Gross 10-18-2007 07:09 AM

Are you sure the wiring is correct?
If you want to you can post a photo of your installation, mabe i can discover a mistake.

Matthias Gross 10-18-2007 07:11 AM

niloc,

thanks for your post - i think this will help if someone has similar problems!

Todd 10-18-2007 07:20 AM

I will look over my wiring again tommorow, if I cannot find a problem with it I will post a photo, perhaps you can see what I am missing. I do have a feeling that there is a problem with one of my bulbs though, maybe I will try with a different one tommorow before I pull it apart to check the wiring.

Anyone else having problems with their non-digital power bar? The socket that my heaters were plugged into stuck on, and needed a tap to get the contacts to open.

I've now been informed via J&L (where I bought it) that Proline won't warranty it  One of the reasons I went with Profilux was that even though the product was still in the development stage for the North American market the manufacturer seemed to backing it well.

Aqua-Digital 10-18-2007 07:30 PM

Speak to matthias, how long have you had the plug bar? The new ones are more robust.

Without getting involved in inter dealer policies, as far as I know we warranty all power bars as long as they are used in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines
