Yeah pushing over 20 000 gallon per hr in the display right now added a mp 40 for now to play with the fish are making a lot of frags tho swimming into stuff.
looks awesome I was also thinking of adding 2 mp20s off the back wall to get more flow.
you can still get the 20's?
Looks great! How are you liking the pair of mp60 vs more mp40s? I'm concerned about things growing within the first foot or two...is the flow quite broad and gentle?

Yeah because of the fact that my tank has the overflow on the end and I don't want any powerheads on the other viewable end I'm restricted in where I can place these things. I'm concerned about putting one or maybe two 7500 gph pumps directly underneath my overflow as I'm trying to direct detritus INTO the overflow right? So now I'm thinking mp40s will be the way to go. Most on the back wall but perhaps one or two under my overflow as well.
How are they in terms of noise compared to the mp40s? |
The one that is not ticking is fairly silent. But they are much bigger than the 40's so they are louder. Actually right now i can hardly hear my 40's but the 60's are humming.

uber-cool Wester......wonder how well they'll deal with all that flow?.....thought about trying one meself but worried about my flow
Very cool are they eating mysis? Where did you get them from?
They are not eating but picking on it. They seem to be handling the flow well once they settle in ill grab more pictures.

Some exciting and sad news. Well mush have been the stress from the move but the seahorses had babies. Sad news is i ran and shut off all flow and tried to catch them but they quickly became fish food
What T5 bulb combo are you running on your 180?
Awwww thats both cool and sucky! Good luck with your new additions I can't wait to see them!
that is sad, but if you can take something positive from it, it would be that your fish got a nutritious treat:mrgreen:
