Well I bought a baby Orange shoulder tang from the LFS here she was so cute and the price was amazing less then $50 so I had to jump on it.. any ways she has been in my tank for about 3 weeks now and doing great. now to get some pictures of her was hard to do just before i went to Mexico I bought her so may be almost month then or not anyways. the kole would let her come out to play, since he is a @$$ so the mirror went up and it worked for a bit. Took the mirror down and the kole back at her again. so i got bored from the previous posts and took the paint offthe side of the tank. Now i stuck the mirror on the back corner and the kole will not leave him self alone and. happy to say LU LU is out swimming around and even swims by the kole and he doesn't do anything. pictures to follow of BABY LU LU after i go for a tann to realx and pick up some grout from HOme depot.....

Rbacchiega 04-13-2009 02:55 PM

How unusual. I'm surprised because your posts aren't ever like that at all.

I agree that the look is awesome though. Tank is looking good.

WOW!!! Nice skimmer. What pump are you using on it?

Lance 04-17-2009 04:15 AM

Or are you putting it in the sump?

its is a external skimmer lance its sitting beside my sump. well from the hook up til now the skimmer has been doing really good.
Its quiet
Easy to use
Easy to set up
easy to dial in
a big chamber for contact time. you can leave the collection cup on and drain it thur the true union that comes with the skimmer.
I'm really liking this skimmer the air valve is same as the euro reef air valve. easy and sucks a lot of air.
The skimmer on the bottom of the collection cup the o ring is attach to the bottom of the collection cup and had a firm seal.
THE BUBBLE KING MINI
the bubble king rated for 265 gal I can't see it. with a small chamber and a short contact time doesn't give you alot of contact time.
the Deltec AP851 is rated for 400 gal IME i really see that being true. tall unit 8" chamber bubble are supper small too

IMO I will end up keeping this skimmer for a long time is just from what i have seen and how its pulling too. Already dump the cup once today and so I'm very happy with it too........

Heya Mike,
Been awhile, hope all is well on your end of the world.
Out of all the skimmers you've tried which would be your favourite.
How much skimmate are you pulling out per day?
After buying and trying out each skimmer, are you always left with the feeling that you should be pulling more skimmate?
Thanks by the way for testing them out for everyone lol. You would be able to put together one hell of a skimmer review when its all said and done.

Doug 07-14-2009 12:40 PM

Wow. I went over and seen the mixer. Now thats a kalk reactor.

Dez 07-14-2009 01:13 PM

Mike,

Wanna sell your Kalk mixer :). Just kidding. Did you order that mixer new or found it used. That thing is awesome. What I hate about the regular kalk reactors is that the powerheads get so worn so quickly because of the kalk.

I can't believe I'm having reactor envy....

Or maybe it was a reactorgasm after looking at pics of your reactor.

Mrfish55 09-05-2009 04:31 PM

Have you tried this skimmer Mike? 9"x7ft tall (now thats some contact time!) apparently it was a one off custom from Precision Marine. Cleaning this beast must be a chore.
