I have 2 of them and they do remarkably well in the strong flow although they mostly just snake around eating pods, etc. There is a large pod population that feeds the pipes, a pair of mandarins and a bunch of wrasses.

Thanks - it's a really tricky coral to photograph and show it's true colors. It is the CM green dragon.

Here's a couple of different angles looking across the reef from the fish room viewing pane.

Yesterday I took my large green polyp toadstool out of the display and put into the 130 gal in the fish room so I could make way for an XL elegance. The clowns quickly adapted from living in the toadstool to moving into their new home but what I found interesting is one of my neon cleaner gobies has taken up a spot in it as well. I had no idea they also liked to host with corals.

WOW! That's gorilla hairy. looks awesome Greg, What's your secret?

Thanks very much - I think it is mostly genetics but I also dose Fauna Marin Color Elements which boosts a lot of trace elements which I think makes a difference.

The clowns have now kicked the goby out of the catalaphyllia

Well it's been just over a year since I bought some Reef Raft frags. Of the 3 pieces only the "Banana Split" frag made it so I thought I would share a then & now picture sequence of that piece. As you can see I am having difficulty with it holding the yellow and the "red polyps" are "on strike" (must be a union coral). It is a painfully slow grower as well but that said I think it should have some potential if it can ever get its act together. I have had frags that took a couple of years before they took off so I am keeping my fingers crossed and will just keep nursing this along.

Fast grower and interesting growth form

I think this piece is pretty sweet although it's been pretty slow to color up but it should be a beauty when it figures things out.
