Let me know if your cloves don't make it. There's plenty more where they came from!

Seriously tho, am I the only one on canreef that actually likes clove polyps?! Fuzzy purple on rocks is prettier than brown IMO. Yes they have taken over some rocks but they do not irritate any corals that ive noticed. Mine cloves are always outcompeted when other corals (sps/lps) start encrusting on their territory.

i don't know about your Polyps but the ones i got took over my chalice and zoas so i despise them lol

That torch coral is sweet! Although it got one head to many, I think you need to frag it!

okay, I can kinda see them competing fiercely with zoas LOL. I don't have any of those. I had a watermellon chalice that outcompeted my cloves. I dunno man, they seem fairly easy to control to me. Whenever there is a patch that i want to clear I just take a hard bristled toothbrush and scrub the area clean. Or smother them with a bit of epoxy for a day or two then remove the epoxy. Nice clean surface again.

Welcome to the LED side...the tank is looking great! So glad to have you back on here.

Thanks guys! I'm excited to tinker with it and just appreciate having a slice of the reef again without all the overhead.

Once I'm using ro/di and have some ROX and HC GFO going I'll maybe grab a few nice pieces and see what happens. I still see this tank as more of an easy / laid back reef with lots of movement.

I told you if you're a brave lad and don't mind the aiptasia let's do a trade. My peps actually cleaned all the pests off the torch skeletons from what I can see...

As for the cloves I really like'em. They're on their own rock but I wouldn't be surprised to see them spread somehow. it's crazy easy to access the insides of this tank so if I need to scrape some gsp or cloves once in a while that's ok with me. My first task is to blade most of the mushrooms off the rockwork!

That tank looks much better than day "one", when i saw it first. Looks good Brett! The Six line wrasse is getting along perfectly, thanks again, Doug

Thanks Doug glad to hear he's being a model citizen.

Yeah tank has a long way to go but is certainly improving. This rock was infested with aiptasia. I actually just scoured the tank and it's been two days since I first noticed my shrimp eating the pests. I can't find a single one now

Is THAT an LED I see there Mr. President of the "losers without LED'S" club?

Great photos & fine looking tank. The Kessil looks like it's a perfect fit.

Borrowed my father-in-law's macro again. I have to drag my couch out from the wall and manually unplug things to kill flow in the tank so I never bothered. A few turned out decently sharp even with flow in the tank though. The curved glass in the front and even the stuff on the sides somehow makes shooting pictures in this tank very difficult. There are corals in some places I will never be able to take nice shots of unfortunately.
