Ghetto nitrate reducer little thing I’ve been doing for years.
Easy free and works great for me , takes awhile to seed but
now it’s rocks. Works best when scraped often and kept short .
Grows well from light spill from my reverse lighting in the sump area.
I'd like to share this little trick , what do you think?

Place cross stitching mesh that you rough up with 60 grit sandpaper over your filter socks .
