Been busy applying coats to seal the wood under my stand, then its assembly time!

So glad to see progress. This build helps me not feel so bad about the slowness of mine.

looks great , the pvc in the pic how did you bend it or is that an optical illusion??

It was bent after being heated with a plumbers torch and then put into the bulkhead (friction fit) then adjusted and held in place for about a minute to cool. Took about 10 minutes total. It kept its shape and diameter.

I've previously tried doing this by heating the section in the oven, this way is much faster and more precise.


Anyone know where I can go buy salt in town? I've just made it through my last bucket and I need 4 to fill up Tibet to start her on her maiden voyage.
