It was bent after being heated with a plumbers torch and then put into the bulkhead (friction fit) then adjusted and held in place for about a minute to cool. Took about 10 minutes total. It kept its shape and diameter.
I've previously tried doing this by heating the section in the oven, this way is much faster and more precise. Anyone know where I can go buy salt in town? I've just made it through my last bucket and I need 4 to fill up Tibet to start her on her maiden voyage. |
