psuedo 04-30-2004 05:22 AM

go wings go is what you should be saying, as the only thing that will be happening to the flames is that they will go down in flames. Nieminin, or whatever his name is should get banned for the rest off the playoffs( the next 2 games for flames ), and if he doesn't he will get maimed or kipper will be knocked to the ground.
Amazing what players do when they are sore losers.

Quinn 04-30-2004 05:38 AM

A little bitter?

AJ_77 04-30-2004 05:23 PM

psuedo - never mind your tank temperature (sig), watch the blood pressure...

Bob I 05-01-2004 11:00 PM

Alright Psuedo, the Flames now have three, and could be considered to be in the driver's seat. There is a good chance those bad losers just may pull it off.

GO FLAMES GO, AND ADD DETROIT TO THE LIST OF THE VANQUISHED!!!!!

Quinn 05-01-2004 11:09 PM

Man I haven't seen Bob this excited since they invented the wheel.

Go Flames!

AJ_77 05-02-2004 12:49 AM

Bought myself a vintage Flames jersey off Ebay in celebration, $7.28USD. The seller is in Calgary so I'm going to see if I can pick it up on Monday and be at a bar for the game. Anyone else going out and want to meet up somewhere?

Buccaneer 05-02-2004 01:16 AM

Stretch 05-09-2004 11:24 PM

Flames Win Baby

AJ_77 05-10-2004 08:50 PM

Could someone objectively tell me if that was a good game? I got so caught up in it that I really can't give an accurate appraisal... I thought we dominated the first, then read on CBC news that we were dominated from the get-go... Thought the game on a whole was fairly even, but our goals were better - am I off my meds or WHAT?!?

Buccaneer 05-10-2004 11:52 PM

I thought the game had a ebb and flow to it ... there were good chances on both ends but the flames at times got under " sustained " pressure where shots were coming from all angles and in bunches ... other than those lapses where you could find Kipper doing his best to stand on his head with his catchers mitt wrapped around the puck I think we did quite well

Quagmire 05-11-2004 01:30 AM

Personaly I thought the flames sucked ,if it wasn't for Kipper they would have been trounced. That OT goal was a beaut. though.Maybe I'm judging to harshly, but the Sharks looked good yesterday, and Calgary's going to have to turn it up a notch.

AJ_77 05-11-2004 02:08 AM

well, ONE objective response then...

Quagmire 05-11-2004 02:19 AM

OK to be objective I have to say the score itself made for a great game.Flames ahead by 2,the Sharks tie it up,the Flames ahead by 1,the Sharks tie it up.OT who's going to score first? In that way it was a great game.

That was your first mistake was to listen to anything the CBC has to say ... bunch of commie < whoops did I think that out loud >

As you can tell I think highly of the CBC ... Canada's money pit which is setup to compete with companies that are taxed to pay the CBC's salaries

Cap'n 05-11-2004 04:47 AM

My two cents:

The times when Calgary were in control they looked good, confident enough to try some tricky plays but mostly sticking with the grinding basic hockey that has been working for them. The times they were not in control I was amazed the San Jose score wasn't doubled. Calgary has to find a way to stop the Sharks from setting up around their zone. I think this series will be a very tough one for Calgary to win. They are starting to look a bit tired too. Hope they pull it off.

...and Buk, I believe television to be crap in nature, but I would still rather watch bad Canadian programming than good American propaganda... er, programming, any day!

Quinn 05-12-2004 01:37 AM

Woot! 2-0 with five minutes left in the first. Totally dominating in this period, let's hope they can keep it up.

Stretch 05-12-2004 03:19 AM

OMG

4-1 now

AJ_77 05-12-2004 03:32 AM

FLAMES WIN AGAIN!! I don't need any more objective opinions - that ROCKED.

Delphinus 05-12-2004 03:46 AM

"Kipper played good." Man of few words that Sutter!

Buccaneer 05-12-2004 03:56 AM

WOO HOO !!!

GO FLAMES GO !!!

Buccaneer 05-12-2004 03:59 AM

The Flames outplayed the Sharks at both ends of the ice tonight ... that Sharks team looks dazed and confused

Quinn 05-12-2004 04:01 AM

And now to home ice... I say Flames in five.

richtg 05-12-2004 05:20 AM

Go Flames, Go!

I say Flames in 6. Can you smell that cup? I can! Who would have thought! Vancouver+Detroit+San Jose+Philly/Tampa=Calgary kicks #@@!

spikehs 05-12-2004 05:25 AM

FLAMES IN 4!!! I'll be at the 4th one... The flames are releasing more tickets tomorrow (wed) and (thru) in the nosebleed section, not sure what time they go on sale. You will need to enter in this code : 3RED9 . Good luck in getting some!!

Quinn 05-12-2004 06:03 AM

I'm bidding on some tickets on Ebay for game 3 but if I can't get those, I'll try for the nosebleeds for game 4. Do you buy the tickets at calgaryflames.com?

spikehs 05-12-2004 12:44 PM

nope, go to ticketmaster.ca

They showed the San Jose bench on TV in the first period, and I have never seen a bunch of players look so down and out. Of course being beat up every time you go on the ice does not help

Delphinus 05-12-2004 03:56 PM

And did you see the stands? It looked no more than 1/2 capacity, towards the end, at least. Sheesh, why not stick it out to the end? This is playoff hockey ... even I know that just about anything can happen and that it aint over till it's over!

Did you see the picture of the T-Bay coach screaming at his players during their 3rd period the other night? Man, what a dejected bunch THEY were... I think they could be in the running for "most down and out."

Quinn 05-13-2004 06:26 AM

Guess who's sitting in section 211, row 20 tomorrow! Woot!
