very well done id love to be able to afford radions... and i hope my fixture will be enough light
Glad the move went as planned so far! That light holder is pretty spiffy how's the sag? I was thinking if it did have a little you could apply an angled metal edge on front and back to give it some stiffness. Just use some L shaped pieces with the one side of the L under the holder...

Nice job on the Radions Doug! They look great mounted like that!
So glad the move went well Doug. Now you can relax a little.
Doug take what you've done with the light rack and slap it onto the side of your stand. But rather that insert radions into the side of your tank you could toss these things called doors over the holes
Very cool light rack! Looks nice and clean
Yet again doug you rock already on this tank man well done. The tank looks awesome dude.

thanks Brett......didnt yo Mama ever tell you, it's not polite to ask a guy about his "sag".....It does sag slightly, like maybe a 1/4"....not enough that Im gonna worry about it.....I made this one out pine, so Im sure that it will warp and twist....I used pine cuz its cheap....I didnt want to spend a lot of mulah on something when I wasnt sure if four Radions was gonna be enough for the tank....if I decide to stick with four I may either make another one out of maple or get Grizz to fabricate one out of metal.... Thanks Sheena.....its not hard to do really.....a lot of the time when I dont find some fish or coral I wanna take home, I riffle through the LR bins and take home a piece or two......a good portion of the rock that is in there now came from a Walt Smith shipment.....the rock was amazing!.....some massive pieces and extremely light..... Nice work on the scape
Love all the nooks and crannies, and mounting locations, and style variety Hope you're havin' a good b-day |
Your tank is looking very good Doug - jealousy is setting in  Youv'e put a lot of work into it and it looks great. Thanks for posting the pics - they are inspiring.
thanks guys.....it was a little more difficult than I thought it would be fitting all my coral in there.....I thought, bigger tank would mean lots more room, but for as while there I thought I may have to sacrifice the open look I have and add some more rock to get all the mounting places I would need.....In the end it all worked out and I even have a a bit of room to add some new stuff down the road.....
