While Tim was unable to make it over, he did send me the frags I wanted. I left them bagged in the sump until everyone left. Once I added them to the tank, I'm super impressed. Especially the pink and blue milli....just an amazing piece. Thanks Tim!
P.S. Nobody collected money for you, so we'll need to arrange payment... Quote:

Thanks Brad and family for having us invade your home. Thanks to all my fellow reefers as well for making the huge efforts to make it to the swap and to bring such an amazing assortment of goodies for us to drool over.
Probably the best one I've ever attended for the number of ppl attending and the huge number of frag available. Everything is settling in nicely - and Shelley, the 6 line just ate like a pig so all is good with him:) thanks everyone. I'm in for next time. |
Great to meet everyone and many thanks to Brad and Christy for hosting. It was my first frag swap and a great intro. Already thinking of planning one for Nanaimo :). Hope everyone enjoys their frags... looking forward to seeing pics,
Dan |
Just got everyone acclimated and in the tanks. I can't believe it, this is the first swap I've returned from and not had to add a frag rack to the tank! I'm down to 2 frag racks instead of 3 as well! Score!! (yes, one day I'll get them all mounted but that day is not today )

In between house chores and other stuff I was able to squeeze a bit of time to get some pics of my new additions from the frag swap. Tank is really looking crowded... starting to look like a tank of "China"... crowded and limited on real estate...

Rich, I am really thinking about getting a Canon Mark III body. I was at a local camera shop playing with one... problem: how can I justify spending $4 grand on a camera ( and that is just body alone!). I am currently using a Canon 60D and Lens and Shutter is currently selling the body for $899. I'd recommend you try both Canon and Nikon, they both have lots of different lens options and the resale value are very good. |

He he he this thread is quickly turning into a recipe sharing thread....lol Any who, yes i did bring the salsa- glad you all liked it. its super easy... Mango Salsa 2 mangos, peeled, cut up 8ish roma tomatoes (depending on how much salsa you are making, big batch more tomatoes, small batch less-you don't want the tomatoes to over power the 2 large mangos) 1 large red onion chopped up 1 jalapeno (seeds in or out-you decide how hot, the batch i brought, i put half the seed in) BIG handful of cilantro, chopped lime juice of one lime (lean into it and roll it on the counter to loosen juices) Pinch of salt chips, scoop, Yummmm! PS. its super yummy on BBQ'd salmon, there's something about the smoke from the grill and the sweetness of the mango that works so well together. And Christy what about your yummy spinach and crab dip???? |
Quote:
No crab in that dip, its on the back of the knorr vegetable soup package  2c sour cream 1c mayo 1pkg knorr vegetable soup (NOT the cream one) 1pkg frozen chopped spinach optional 1c chopped waterchestnuts optional 3 green onions chopped |
