I was so hoping for the MP10 or the Calcium checker
Even with the weather I would have to say FF3 was a success, got to meet some new faces that I have only PMed with, chat with people I have built stands for, picked up some nice zoa frag's from RCE & BW. Next year I hope to have frag's to bring with me. Hats off to all who helped out to make FF3 happen. |
what a great day! thank you to all who came out and to those to gave us a hand!!!
|
Yes what a great day.... Im still cold but thats my own damn fault lol.... thank you to everyone that came out and we will see you next year!

Great Event Everyone.
I just hosted it, you guys/gals made it what it is. The weather decided not to co-operate to much this year. It was nice to see a lot of old faces around this year, and quite a few FragFest Virgins. You were missed Dawn, but was funny to see you were here in spirit, err, via cellulaer link directing Chris what to get. We all know if you had the day off you'd have been there 1/2 hour before me, and stayed until the end (Now that's what I call fanatical). I can imagine what the people driving by though was happening, if they knew it was Frags, they have us all commited. A few tenants of the building came by wondering why the parking lot was full, were even suprised that there was a "fish store" in the building. Thanks for all the donations and door prizes M&M meats (Millwoods Town Center) - Jason NY Fries (Southgate) - Joe Let's Play (Lenny & Tim the cook) Concept Aquatics (Calgary) - for the mp10 Red Coral Edmonton - for the Hanna Calcium Checker Aquarium Illusions - for the Nano Tank Doug - Clownfish Door Prize Donation And a special thanks to all the volunteers and BWA staff for their dedication and time - Shannon - Lyndsey - Taylor - Meg - Rob, Pam & the boys - Doug - Sara - Haley - Abe - David - John (I should have charged you a commission  ) - to all those that would have rolled up their sleaves if we had asked. and many more, I apologize if I missed someone Please support the sponsers No I can finally go get some sleep Ken - BWA |
I'm glad I made the trip ... Well worth it ... Lol sorry I brought the rain , the flame angel made the trip back to Gp no problem and got into the tank around 1 am after the aclimation .... And of course the frags were fine .... The mysis I bought was not frozen by time I got it home .... It was still cold tho .... I put it in my freezer ... Will this be ok to use still ?
Thanks again it was fun :) Can't wait till next year !! |
WOW! What a great day it was, minus the rain and windstorm.
I had all my stuff spic and span , a little rain and a little wind, and POOF! everything was dirty again!! It was great fun, meeting everyone there! Wished I had some way of telling who's who. Not everyone was wearing a name tag. I met Pipes1234, who came to one of our Reefer's Meeting once long time ago, didn't recognize him until later on, sorry, Bud! Wanted to ask you about your Nano-reef. There were tons of frags, inside the store and out! The Air Bounce was enjoyed for a few minutes before the rain came... The hamburger and pop was really appreciated, thank you. For the ones who missed the fun, there's still next year!! Thank you, Ken and all the volunteers and Sponsors who made this wonderful event possible. Our garage and tanks are lots cleaner now!! |
Once I got my 50g I shut the nano down but now that I've got so much coral the wife and I are thinking about setting it up again ... We want to get a nice led fixture for it this time tho :)

Nice!
Wished that I had time to talk to you at the FF3. I thought that it might have been you when you told me that you were all the way from G.P., but due to my age and all, the thought just skipped away before it had the chance to develop:redface: Hope you had fun yesterday. It was really nice seeing you again. Lenny. |
Totally worth the drive!!!!
Now I see what is with all the hype!! Got some amazing pieces!! |
It was a fun day despite the rain and cold. I had a good time seeing everyone and saying hi  Almost snuck home a tiny boston terrier puppy but I think Neal would of noticed
However I did take home the cutest little juvi harlequin tuskfish you ever did see. He's only about an inch and a half but he eats like a pig and is doing well  |

I hope my pair of clowns that I won as a door prize will fit in with a couple others I am caring for until owner is ready for them.
|
Frag fest success. Two Frags. Acan echinata (AI) and blue clove (Wayne).
Who got the special zoos ken brought? I was number ten and I saw none. Was nice offering space in your tanks for reefers ken. Good job, good burgers, BIG thanks! Although... Had no idea about door prize and what not. Too bad. |

I, too, saw that little guy. It would be very interesting if you can document his metamorphosis through to his adult splendors! Lenny. |

these will be coming at a reasonable price.
think the Candy apples will be about $35 a head landed, but we will be getting them in mini colonies (2-4) per plug. If the prices are cheaper for me, I'll pass on the savings. I will have pics soon as he is going to send me the pics of the parent colonies. Ken |
