I think since the corals have been with me for this long it would make the corals more hardier to swings and what not. I know my Oregon blue tort and tree pink lemonade are bullet proof lol.

Quick update for the anyone that cares lol. Well I love the new aquascaping and now I added sand which greatly improved the look.

Thanks man its been about a month and a half since the aquascaping change so the growth is a little slow right now. But hey at least I didn't lose any color lol or corals. Surprising ly the rr pink floyde has turned into a mini colony in a couple of months

gregzz4 05-14-2015 05:54 AM

I bought one a couple weeks ago and hope it looks like yours sometime soon !

How's it going since the swap?

Your one-piece eurobrace inspired my one-piece eurobrace. :D

riceboy 05-15-2015 12:50 PM

Lol good everything went well. Didn't get an algea bloom or anything so I would say my tank isn't cycling anymore lol. Ya the one piece euro was what got me to buy the tank as well lol.

riceboy 11-02-2015 03:34 AM

Well its been a while for an update. So here goes. Nothing really changed. All the same corals just more fuller.

Sometimes it takes forever for new frags to establish. I had an exquisita that spent 11 months as a poo brown turd before it sprouted new growth and took off like a banshee.

So...the weekend is over... ;)

looks stunning victor.

Well went for vacation for about a week right before Christmas and came home to a mess. I'm guessing the power had gone out and and when it started again my ato never turned back on. Needless to say I had no circulating water from my sump to my main tank (all heaters, skimmer, reactors were useless for who knows how long). Good thing my mp10s and everything else was still working and my pump didn't burn out and cause a fire.

I had 3 casualties 1 clam that I've had for at least 6 years and one unknown coral is stning and the other is my needle in a haystack which is making a quick recovery. Had to do a 40 gallon water change on Christmas eve right when I got home from vacation.

Good thing is a I picked up a new ato from dave at concepts for boxing day sale for a great price and a new dct 15000 just in cause something happens to my current one, and new bulbs for the ati. Thanks concept for the great boxing day deals.

Another Christmas holiday casualty. Sorry to hear.

Myka 12-27-2015 07:18 PM

Bummer! My sump was dry when I got home too, but not for long enough to cause any grief. Thankfully your tank didn't suffer too bad.

dang Vic...guess this is why you can't go on holidays! lol sorry to hear about the loss. Hopefully your tank makes a quick recovery and bounces back looking amazing as always.

kien 12-28-2015 05:55 AM

Yikes. Probably the same outage that hit my tank just a few days before Christmas. Great timing as we were both on vacation LoL. Anyway, sorry to hear. Onward and upward. Could have been worse I guess.

SeaHorse_Fanatic 12-29-2015 11:11 AM

Sorry to hear about your tank issues while on vacation. I'm glad my parents or a friend always pops in when I'm gone for more than a day to feed my tank inhabitants and make sure everything is all right. Hopefully your tank will recover from this Christmas holiday power outage.

Anthony
