I've never had any problems with the porcelain's and sexy's and I've housed them together for about 1.5 yrs, actually I've never even heard of porcelain's eating them. I would assume since they're filter feeders they'd be fairly safe with anything. The pom pom's have never caused me any problems with other inhabitants either, except one another. I had two males that got along fine until I introduced a female and then they started fighting. I ended up re-homing one of the males so they didn't kill each other.

New little darling boy, a Harlequin Shrimp from Blue World Aquatics.

I thought this was funny. My anemone shrimp has chosen a host. I think she's just as big as it is

Cool Goby! I was looking at some of the small gobies at J&L the other day. They got an ORA shipment in with tiger gobies that I like a lot.

Beautiful tank!

fishytime 11-21-2009 01:56 PM

Nice harlequin....I love how they look but always figured they were too "high maintenance" ....whatcha plan on feeding it?

Beautiful tank!

I have one of those too. He's quite the character and always comes right up to the glass when I peek in.

I have a chocolate chip and red knob star that I cut legs off of for him.

My Porcelain Crab immediately took to my new blue Carpet Anemone which was meant for my new onyx clown, who decided she preferred my hammer

I don't think they really require an anemone host. Before bringing the anemone home the crab hosted on a chunk of rock that's encrusted with a blue sponge/green cyphastrea/favia.

They had an electric yellow one that I missed out on.

noirsphynx 11-29-2009 06:05 AM

I wonder who will win? The clown finally decided she wants the anemone and is trying to evict the porcelain anemone crab.
http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/t...x/DSC_0160.jpg

I also got a nice surprise tonight. I decided to get up on a stool and have a good look down in to the tank when I spy two blue lines staring back at me from the overflow. I wonder what the hell because I just saw my neon goby 2 seconds before IN the tank. I look down and yup there's the neon in the tank but there's a 2nd one in the overflow. It took me a second to remember that months ago I had brought one home and it had gone missing within days. I thought for sure it had died because it was no where to be found. I had searched the floor, sump & overflow. The little brat did a good job of hiding and surviving and is nice and plump and healthy. The other blue neon also took to the little guy as if they were long lost friends/lover's swimming side by side and wriggling it's little body against the other, so cute. Gotta love a happy ending when I thought the little guy was dead .

lobsterboy 11-29-2009 06:13 AM

great clown. cool colors.

BlueAbyss 11-29-2009 06:57 AM

Gorgeous pics... I love the porcelain crab in the blue carpet, amazing photo. I think the clownfish will win though

noirsphynx 11-29-2009 03:33 PM

Woke up this morning and the clown had gone back to her hammer so I guess the crab wins for now. Maybe she'll try again today to boot the crab out.

noirsphynx 11-29-2009 07:33 PM

Here's the happy couple constantly together, hopefully it continues that way. I wonder if I'm lucky enough to have created a pair.

your tank looks great noirsphynx!
and the little nano gobies have given me a few ideas.
sorry if this has already been mentioned, but what are the dimensions of the tank?

Jessie55 12-11-2009 05:30 AM

Where are you getting all your zoos from i have been having a hard time finding them in Ed seems like no one gets them in anymore.

Thanks! I used to have the dimensions on the first page but I unintentionally deleted that, anyway it's 24" x 24" x 18"
