OMG Amazing, why haven't you shared sooner

Rus 07-11-2009 03:55 PM

Thanks Leah

It's been a rebuild from my old system that was 225 gal which had a leak in the bottom seal ,and had to be replaced I have a small thread on the build sequence on another board , but you are welcome to ask for pics , just not very good at typing those types of things up. I admire the people that put the time into showing us how they have built and setup there tanks as it is quite a bit of work to do.

Exactly what I was thinking. Nice layout!

banditpowdercoat 07-11-2009 06:26 PM

Yes, Rus, I love your layout. I think I'll be re-aquascaping the 150 when I get home.

Rus 07-11-2009 08:14 PM

Thanks for the kind remarks, i was planning to hold off for a while yet on the pics until it began to mature a little more, but i got a little impatient. Hopefully soon it will begin to look like a few of the amazing tanks on this thread.

mark 07-11-2009 08:22 PM

Very nice Rus.

Any chance you could put up a link to the other forum where your build is?

Hi Ian. Here are your shots after running them through Photoshop Autocolour command, about two mouse clicks. Most camera software will also have some colour correction features you can play around with once the photos are on your computer.

Yeah, it is hard to get an idea of size in the pictures I posted. The table is about the size of a volleyball.

I think it is called a Crayola Acropora.

argan 10-08-2009 05:31 PM

wow we have some amazing tanks!
love those tabling acro's Oceanic, Outstanding

I was going to show my tank but I think I'll just use yours instead. I think this thread should exclude professionals, I can't possibly compete!

ok, still have to work on my tank jurnal, but alway's short in time

at least I can share some pics from where the tank is now.

Leah 12-17-2009 11:28 PM

You have got some nice colors in there. Very nice set-up thanks for sharing I am jealous,
how old is you tank?

KevinK 12-17-2009 11:37 PM

tank age

tank is now runing as of june this year (did it 2x wrong) now I have a filter room, MH HQI lichts, live sand, a little DIY skimmer and everything is working 100% better than ever before

total volume would be around 450 gal (350 gal tank, 65 gal sump, 55 gal spare tank that is conected to the systen (optional to be used for frags, now with about 5 inch of LS)

Leah 12-17-2009 11:45 PM

Well it is amazing! You can't convince me of screwing it up its gorgeous.

chris121277 12-18-2009 01:29 AM

nice looking tank there Sara, what kind of skimmer are you running?

sarzeff 12-18-2009 01:34 AM

Thanks Chris, I'm really happy with how it's doing so far. I also posted some more pictures in the Pictures thread with some progress shot. It's an Aqua C Remora Pro skimmer. The pre-skimmer box was too big for my little tank so you can see my "custom" made one in the pic. It's a piece of plastic from some packaging held on with string. It stops the microbubbles! :)

chris121277 12-23-2009 02:09 AM

Not the clearest shot, but I like it because it shows off the "seamless" part of the tank
http://i461.photobucket.com/albums/q...k/PC220032.jpg

sarzeff 12-23-2009 02:35 AM

Nice shot, I love your tank. I'd love one just like it :D The rounded seamless corners are such a nice touch. I also have about a 30 gallon bowfront in my bedroom that is a freshwater tank.

The Grizz 12-24-2009 01:19 AM

Here is my 155 gal Bow Front. Still a work in progress.
