I have a war favia that is doing the same thing and looks very similar. It also has that blue streak. I first thought it had a problem and was going to bleach out on me. But then it just kept growing, along with the blue streak. So I guess that is a natural characteristic of this coral??

Also, what light does yours get?

Yes that is a definite characteristic of this favia species, they get a color mix - hence the "war coral" name - two colors battling it out. Mine is near the bottom of the tank so the light is fairly low in intensity.

Thanks Brett - I think it is your tank sitting skills that are making the difference.
Yes the pigmy is pretty cool, I've had it for a few months and seems to be healthy but I wish the mystery wrasse would leave it alone so it would come out more.

Just went through this whole thread, some beautiful pieces Greg. Thanks for sharing pics, also comparing some growth pics on your colonies.

A pretty slow grower but what a difference a year makes.

Thanks for looking. There were some issues and I lost some of my larger colonies back in the spring. That said corals are doing very well and some I am still nursing along.

That "acro" shrimp has some serious snappers! Not sure of the species.

The "acro-crab" I believe to be Tetralia cinctipes.
