Yes, they were vandalized :( It happened shortly before we moved out to the island....so sad, not sure how somebody could do such a horrible thing.

I assume you would be taking off the top then? I'm hoping to either do a led retrofit or might take the top off if I absolutely have to when the time comes.

Yes, I just got back from my LFS and I would have to do a whole new canopy, so no metal halide for me. I will have to wait until I save enough pennies for the tank of my dreams lol.
