Today is the big day :biggrin:

Got one and I use it daily for Internet, email, browsing and of course forums. Like this one. Forget about lugging your laptop around the house, you'll be a lot happier with this device. I'm typing this with my iPad. Hehehe

My father-in-law got one from my sister-in-law's boyfriend (the $1000 high end version). He likes it. Uses it mostly for showing digital photos, but also to send emails, and surd the net. He's got Skype, so he phones internationally on it, but there's no built in camera so its only voice, no imagery.

Is it worth the $1000? Well, for him it was free and for the bf, it was to suck up to the "old man", so I guess they both are happy with the purchase. He's a first-adopter type anyways so having the newest digital device makes him happy.

I played with one at FS and was impressed. Don't have a need for it yet but when the time comes to replace my laptop (which is my desktop as well as I plug it into an external monitor, keyboard and mouse at my desk) I will probably go with an iMac and an iPad instead of a new Macbook Pro. For now my iPhone is sufficient for mobile internet.

Ron have you done any tests to see if hanging a few of these over a tank on full-out-bawls will grow sps?

My friend has one and I was using the internet on it when I was at his house. Much easier for me to use then an ipod. Quite enjoyed looking up stuff on it, may get one someday.

I'm not sure it will be a great improvement over my Comadore Vic-20, my tape drive continues to work just fine.
