im not sure about acros chin but some lps often slime up when being fed in an effort to catch more food.

Chin,

I spoke with Polyp Lab about this product for acros and this is mainly for soft and LPS (filter feeding) corals. Not that it's harmful for acros but it wasn't really designed to benefit them.

I used a turkey baster and target fed my zoos, goniopora, and all my acros. The sizes look similar to that of rotifers (that I used to culture). I can't say i've seen any dramatic difference yet but I can see the polyps on the acros sucking back these stuff. In lieu of my future plan to culture rotifers, I'm just going to keep using this stuff. Looking forward to long term results.
Interesting effect on some of my acros - they started sliming when I fed them with this stuff. Not much though maybe a few strands of slime. Does anybody know if this is normal or a positive/negative sign for acros?

They did have something on their site saying they were working on a food for SPS but I notice its gone now.

I know where a chunk of my 400$ is going that's for sure. I haven't really heard one bad thing from anyone about it on here yet either. Sounds like a good product!

We are very glad everyone is enjoying the product. A lot of work went into developing that product. The goal was to create a food as nutritious, palatable and water-stable as live food without the cost/hassle of culturing.

Chin: Your acro sliming is a natural reaction when they are fed. They are mesenterial filaments that they will secret in an effort to trap as much particulate food as possible. although the slime you notice when you touch them is likely a stress reponse and not a sign of finger-eating corals =)

Christyf5, Wait a couple weeks. The guys at the lab at putting the finishing touches on that SPS product that I can only describe as... incredible.

Good luck with everyone's reef!
