Is that the sun coral that was in the sump on the front show tank at the store?
|
Hey Mark, no, Japarto got some more sun corals in and I bought one of those instead. (That one suncoral was moved to the top and it looks so nice in Japarto's tank  )

Oh, I think I found out what that mystery coral is, thanks to melev in RC. It looks to be a cup coral.

It's a beauty just the same.
Cheers, |
I found anothe unknown, much like the first one (still unknown), in my pico tank but there are two of them. Again, my camara does not have zoom (I know, I know, time to upgrade that too  ), so this is the best picture I can get. They are both brownish-red with a round base that looks like it's hard (but hard to say), the tips of the tentacles are whitish and tend to connect like webs of a ducks feet. Any help would be great, if not I'll just wait until it gets bigger.

Also, is this a type of SPS coral or bryozoan (the white spot with small polyps). The base looks to be blue then there is a layer of off-white (may be the skeleton with small indentations) and then the very white layer on the outside with little polyps.

Looks like a sponge to me, but it's hard to tell from that pic..

Here is an updated picture. The new additions are: frogspawn, blue sponge, green, leafy macroalgae, a few more mushrooms, three large snails, and two blue-legged hermit crabs.
