They do. And people use them. But the wires don't get wet. They are on the outside of the tank.

Brad, you are killing me. :) I thought you wanted to be able to remove/clean your pumps without dealing with the wires. This is basically a quick disconnect at the glass. :) The pump and propeller for the Vortech is wireless as I understood.

You don't. The direction is fixed: perpendicular to the glass. The Vortech people insist you don't need to point them at anything; the flow will be enough.
