Edmonton's a step in the right direction just give it a little time. Before long you'll be an Oilers & Eskies fan and life will be good.

just thought I would share a few pics of the difference in color between old and new bulbs.....both tanks are running tek HOT5s.....both tanks are running a 50/50 mix of KZ "new gens" and "KZ superblues".......Ive heard people say that the color spectrum doesnt change that much......the big tank on the right just got new bulbs and the small tanks bulbs are about five monthes old....
http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...IMG_0001-3.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...IMG_0002-3.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...IMG_0003-2.jpg |

It's only a matter of time Doug, don't worry, sooner or later you'll see the light...........and you'll kick that bad Calgary habit. On a more serious note, if you need a hand, let me know. |

....thats a good one Ross.....Laurie doesnt know this yet but.......being that she has some random Oiler stuff around her house, Im intending on putting some of my Flames stuff out:twised:.....Im not sure she knows how much Flames paraphernalia I have.....between three jerseys, autographed lithographs, die cast, Christmas tree lights, etc, etc, etc.....I could probably fill a room with stuff... gonna bring a little C-town heat to E-town, try and thaw the frozen tundra up north there:razz: and correct me if Im wrong Bob, but, Oil have lost four in a row and Flames just beat Chi-town eaisily:razz: Quote:

so I know a few people from the shop that swear by the prodibio products....they are super happy with the results and the ease of dosing.....I thought I might give it a try.....I started today with he recommended doses of both the "BioOptim" and the "BioDigest".....so we will see if I can get my nutrients in check with this magic elixir..... I do have a complaint about it already.....how the heck do you get the product out of the vial with that tiny hole???.....I thought the dosing was supposed to be less time comsuming???.....I spent a few minutes trying to "ketchup bottle" shake the stuff out!..... granulosa avec chromis http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...IMG_0018-2.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...IMG_0019-1.jpg granulosa sans chromis http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...IMG_0020-1.jpg and some more stuff http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMG_0030.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMG_0028.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMG_0027.jpg |

If it's the double ended vial, snap both ends off it, then it just pours out.

Oh yeah! That is sweet! I gotta get me some of that. Love the contrast between the smooth tissue and the "white" polyps. LOL, I think I'd love it even if it was just the brown blob  |

after what seems like forever the pieces of the puzzle are finally coming together......I went up to E-town this past w/e to see my Girly and help her with cube....and I got an early X-mas surprise.....Lauries had the stand for my tank done for me.....she knew I had been talking with Greg(Grizz) about doing the stand and contacted him and had him do the stand for me for X-mas.... heres a couple pics....one that Greg took at his shop after completion and a couple that Laurie took for me of it in its spot in her basement.....apparently Laurie and Greg had a bit of a time getting it into her house....there is a couple minor scuffs in the stand from the screen door, nothing a can of Krylon wont fix...... it is big, heavy and very well built......thanks Grizz....and thanks baby for the early prezzie.....so here she is in all her glory...all 84x30x30 of her....
http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMG_0097.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMG_0096.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMG_0095.jpg |
It's nice man but damn do I want some potato chips now :twised:

Quote:
Two dogs (one big one small) and the one on the far left is a cat. |

ouch just called the misses cat stinky.....yer in trouble now hehehe;) Quote:
ps....i so could have turned that into something badly dirty but the new "pg13" canreef would not have liked it hehehe ;) |
DAMN IT!! I see a few more scuff on the stand then I would have liked & yes it was a bit of a biatch to get in the door but it was all down stairs after that.
And good god you two are going to have a crap load of gallons to deal with. Holly crap I need to wash the doors in my shop  |
Denny you chicken!

Quote:
well the cat does stink.......its got long hair and poor grooming habbits......and its ok, Laurie knows exactly how I feel about cats......and the cat seems to know to avoid me too (been practicing my field-goal kick:mrgreen:)........ya, you best be careful.....ya dont want to end up on the "B" list Quote:
Ya, 1000g is gonna be a lot of H2o......Laurie isnt worried about it......I am.....there is close to 700g of water in the house now and there isnt any visible problems like window sweats yet.....so I guess we will see |

I cant wait either!!!!...this has been in the works since my birthday in July.....Im chomping at the bit for it to move faster, but my disposable income is a limiting factor:neutral:..especially when Girly keeps needing stuff:wink:...at least now with the stand, I have something solid to show off.....and believe me the stand is SOLID...... heres a better than Iphone quality pic of the stand the Laurie took for me (thanks Hun)
http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...g/DSC_0240.jpg and a few randoms http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMGP5906.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMGP5905.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMGP5904.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMGP5903.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMGP5902.jpg and now a little story about reef irony.......we all know how difficult of a coral goniopora seems to be.....most people cant seem to keep them alive......myself included......Ive tried twice and killed both colonies rather quickly........a while back there was a stn-ing colony of some sps at the shop that I noticed had a small cluster of colonial tunicates on the bottom of the base, so I took the colony home because I have always thought tunicates were cool.......well the tunicates didnt do so well and the chunk of rock has been moved here and there and flipped and twisted trying to get these tunicates happy .....which never did happen, they ended up dieing.....since then, the rock has just been kinda in there, taking up space, so I thought I would turf it to the sump.......but wait....whats that?......a little wee quarter sized hitchhiker goniopora!!!........figures that the two I paid for died and the one I didnt even know I had is doing well:mmph: http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMGP5907.jpg |
haha funny how stuff works eh any plans for the outside of the stand once its all set up are you going to enclose it or leave it open??
