Edmonton's a step in the right direction just give it a little time. Before long you'll be an Oilers & Eskies fan and life will be good.

In the spirit of brotherhood Dougie... if there's ANY corals you'd like babysat and never returned I'm there for ya. Always have been dawg... congrats again!

Ha, I am nicer, I will babysit and return, but what you get back might be slightly smaller.

As he said doubtful that would ever happen, he's a die hard flames/stamps fan. However I'm an Oilers fan so at least one of us got it right

It's only a matter of time Doug, don't worry, sooner or later you'll see the light...........and you'll kick that bad Calgary habit.

On a more serious note, if you need a hand, let me know.

....thats a good one Ross.....Laurie doesnt know this yet but.......being that she has some random Oiler stuff around her house, Im intending on putting some of my Flames stuff out:twised:.....Im not sure she knows how much Flames paraphernalia I have.....between three jerseys, autographed lithographs, die cast, Christmas tree lights, etc, etc, etc.....I could probably fill a room with stuff... gonna bring a little C-town heat to E-town, try and thaw the frozen tundra up north there:razz:

and correct me if Im wrong Bob, but, Oil have lost four in a row and Flames just beat Chi-town eaisily:razz:

No worries babe, I kinda figured you'd want to put your flames stuff up, I've even thought of the perfect spot.......the crawl space :twised: j/k

Probably could find some room around the bar.

well the crawl space is better that the garage:biggrin:......your not worried that people would get the wrong(or right depending on your perspective) impression?....all that flames stuff around the tanks:razz:

so I know a few people from the shop that swear by the prodibio products....they are super happy with the results and the ease of dosing.....I thought I might give it a try.....I started today with he recommended doses of both the "BioOptim" and the "BioDigest".....so we will see if I can get my nutrients in check with this magic elixir..... I do have a complaint about it already.....how the heck do you get the product out of the vial with that tiny hole???.....I thought the dosing was supposed to be less time comsuming???.....I spent a few minutes trying to "ketchup bottle" shake the stuff out!.....

If it's the double ended vial, snap both ends off it, then it just pours out.

Oh yeah! That is sweet! I gotta get me some of that. Love the contrast between the smooth tissue and the "white" polyps. LOL, I think I'd love it even if it was just the brown blob

well......If Laurie doesnt have room/lighting /the system for it then you can probably view them at RC E-town......anything that doesnt do well In Lauries system will likely end up being babysat there....we have unfortunately already discovered that acans dont do well in her tank......lost one colony almost overnight.....the rest are with Steve now....heres the one I lost.....Im super bummed

after what seems like forever the pieces of the puzzle are finally coming together......I went up to E-town this past w/e to see my Girly and help her with cube....and I got an early X-mas surprise.....Lauries had the stand for my tank done for me.....she knew I had been talking with Greg(Grizz) about doing the stand and contacted him and had him do the stand for me for X-mas.... heres a couple pics....one that Greg took at his shop after completion and a couple that Laurie took for me of it in its spot in her basement.....apparently Laurie and Greg had a bit of a time getting it into her house....there is a couple minor scuffs in the stand from the screen door, nothing a can of Krylon wont fix...... it is big, heavy and very well built......thanks Grizz....and thanks baby for the early prezzie.....so here she is in all her glory...all 84x30x30 of her....

I cant wait either!!!!...this has been in the works since my birthday in July.....Im chomping at the bit for it to move faster, but my disposable income is a limiting factor:neutral:..especially when Girly keeps needing stuff:wink:...at least now with the stand, I have something solid to show off.....and believe me the stand is SOLID......

I know Im gonna love the width......you are so limited to what you can do aquascaping wise in a narrower tank.......Im hoping to have enough time and patience to do something really dramatic and blow people away with the scape........thats the hope anyway:mrgreen:......both versions of the 110 have had two overhangs that have a 6-8' projection.....Ive had plenty compliments on them, but with a deeper tank I know I could do a massive overhang......one thing I have always wanted to achieve and never have, is an archway that didnt look fake.....every time Ive tried the arch always looked really cheesy and I ended up scrapping it.....so maybe this time, being that I will hopefully have the time to take my time, I will try again

fishytime 12-03-2011 02:56 AM

and now a little story about reef irony.......we all know how difficult of a coral goniopora seems to be.....most people cant seem to keep them alive......myself included......Ive tried twice and killed both colonies rather quickly........a while back there was a stn-ing colony of some sps at the shop that I noticed had a small cluster of colonial tunicates on the bottom of the base, so I took the colony home because I have always thought tunicates were cool.......well the tunicates didnt do so well and the chunk of rock has been moved here and there and flipped and twisted trying to get these tunicates happy .....which never did happen, they ended up dieing.....since then, the rock has just been kinda in there, taking up space, so I thought I would turf it to the sump.......but wait....whats that?......a little wee quarter sized hitchhiker goniopora!!!........figures that the two I paid for died and the one I didnt even know I had is doing well:mmph:
