Sounds like it's going to be a very nice tank, love the front to back dimensions.

If you EVER need any help moving the tank, please don't hesitate to call........Brett.

Yeah, I can't imagine me working in an LFS. I'd be bringing something home with me every day. I'd have either five tanks or one honkin' big sucker. Wouldn't have any money left over for beer and pizza! You must have an iron will Doug.

Snappy 09-07-2011 12:16 AM

Cool looking piece of Mycedium you have there Doug.

Like the bet he lost this past weekend when he was certain the stamps would win against the eskies but they lost 35-7  and now he gets to bring me a red head jawfish this weekend

Thanks gentlemen......I wanted to go wider because we all know that Girlys prefer width over length.....er, um......neve rmind:redface:.........seriously though, I would have liked to go 36" wide but, I would run into issues getting the stand through most doorways (I rent)

not too much to update on this tank these days.....Ive been trying to adhere to a "no new live stock" rule for the tank.....the decision has been made with regards to who is going to move (Laurie or I)......looks like Im moving to Edmonton to be with my Girly......so no sense in adding any more live stock to this tank.......the plan is for me to attempt to get the big tank going in Edmonton ASAP and then slowly move some of my reef up there each time I visit.....there is no way I want to move the entire contents of my two tanks at once, after what happened last time I moved......the process has already started.....Ive moved 4 acan colonies, my open brain, green favia, duncans, florida rics and my cherry sundae chalice into Lauries reef......this has me a little nervous.....Laurie has a couple fish that may or may not sample things.....she has a foxface, so that rules out my zoas....she says it doesnt eat them, but Im not willing to risk it.....so my zoas will have to go in her 80g ......I have started adding to my zoa collection In Lauries tank....Ive recently scored some purple puddles, nuclear greens, candy apples, jeckles and one that I dont know the name of......I will have to try and get some pics next time Im in E-town (unless Laurie takes some pics with her fancy dancy new camera)......she also has a flame angel that nips at her sps, so my sps will most like go to Red Coral E-town (thanks for the offer Steve)...... so, my tank is looking a little bare.....relatively speaking I guess.....so there will be a bit less shiny stuff for me to take pics of......less reef porn for the masses....

I know I said I was trying to adhere to my livestock rule but:redface:.......this was really a decision that I waffled back and forth on for a while.....I broke two rules with this addition.......I also had a very very very strict NO NEM rule for this tank.......so I guess Im officially on the Maxi-mini nem bandwagon....(even tho nems is evil).....thats right folks, the 25g tank is now a "maxi pad"......it took about two minutes for the nem to take hold of the rock and another five minutes for three of my sexy shrimp to find it and start hosting in it....

Great pictures! And wow, big move. Good luck with all the tank transfers. Nice to be able to do it incrementally like that, that should help a bit.

thanks Tony......ya, its much less daunting a task in my mind being able to do things gradually.....The thought of just selling most of my stuff occurred, but I managed to accumulate some pretty nice corals over the last year and a bit and Im not sure it all is replaceable......not cheaply, anyway:wink:......the plan is for my current tanks occupants to be in Edmonton berfor I acually move myself up there.......I just realized that if things go as planned there may be a time that I dont have a tank running:shocked!::faint:.....oh man.....what have gotten myself into?????.....I dont know if I can be without a tank:noidea::mrgreen:

Doug if you need a place to store stuff, eg zoos I can hold it for you also for a bit, I got the frag tank isolated from the main tank so no chance of getting eaten.
