They are such a cool coral. I would love everyone to have one but are crazy crazy slow growers. I have only done 2 frags in over a year. Great score tho Doug
|
Sweet score! Looks different than what I thought strawberry shortcake was supposed to look like though? Although I think I like it right now the way it looks, I've always been a sucker for blue and purple combos.

I found another feather duster for the small tank......Girly was down for the w/e and we made made the rounds to the all the LFSs here(well.....almost all of em)......I wont say where I picked this one up:wink: (first thing Ive ever bought from this particular LFS)......Killer color combination, I just had to have it:biggrin:.....hope it makes it.....it was out of its tube when I bought it, but everything Ive read suggests that they can grow a new one...

I have never seen one that colour. Like it a lot
|
Ha! I know exactly where you bought that because I looked at it myself and came VERY close to picking it up and I even thought "wonder if Doug would like it." Glad I didn't sneak it away from you then :p

Also whats with all this soft coral smut? I demand hard coral smut! |
Just a quick note about those feather dusters -
Those guys feed on phytoplankton. (or is it zooplankton..) Anyways, when you first get them they have a fairly large "crown" but will shed it for a smaller one to possible adapt to less food being available. They will live longer if you could maybe feed them some DT's. |

Neither had I......thats why I had to snag it:biggrin: Quote:
I would hav been a little envious but happy you got it none the less mang....What made you decide against it? Quote:

Quote:
Grizz, Have you noticed if yours is actually consuming the brine shrimp and growing? The larger feather dusters can collect larger food particles, but only seem to bind them in mucus and expel them in their faeces. They do really only digest phytoplankton. |
