I may as well join bumping up my fixture from 590w aqua medic to a 1170w halide t5 setup. I may have to invest in a solar battery system lol

I believe it was established that auxiliary LEDs like moonlights are permitted. However, primary LEDs, such ones ones used for growing are not permitted. It is clearly in our charter*
*if we had a charter. |
Can I join? I can assure you no one is as anti-LED as me in this forum

I don't have LEDs, but I recognize their benefits and can appreciate why someone would want to run LEDs. LEDs are not terribly. They won't crash your tank, they won't make your take look like poop. LEDs work, there are LOTS of nice tanks running LEDs. |
So can i get a badge or not?

Under the right circumstances, LEDs can save you money. No one has ever told me that LEDs are an equivalent replacement for MH. In fact, everyone (including LED owners) typically tell me that they can NOT replace MH. You don't own an LED fixture so you're in  |

Well, honestly, LED will eventually take over. So as electric vehicles. But right now, hybrid is, IMO, the best option. People were very excited when electric vehicles started coming to the market but soon got disappointed and came the hybrid which people are more willing to buy. Some time in the future, people will get used to the LEDs and to them, growth from bulbs like T5 and MH will be extremely irrelevant, maybe they will even claim to have better growth with future LEDs than MH just like people now claim to have better growth with these instead of CFL. Like I always say, its all about adaptability  |

Where did you get'em? They were getting so hard to find for a while there...

250s from Dennis. You can get these all over the place they've just become expensive. I used to pay $80 now they're around $100. Dennis wanted these gone so they were very deeply discounted.
