Thanks, once in a lifetime opportunity to do it the way I dream, I want it done right once, no re-do for me.

Makes sense to do the dream the right way  But what's this business about having to wait until Sunday for more pic.'s!

Fish are in and they look much happier, I am hoping to get the rest done in the next few days.

I don't know about fun, I was up till 1:00 making sure everything was good, Happy I double checked everything as the power bar for the heaters was plugged in but not turned on! One small leak on one overflow, but an easy fix. you will have to stop by and check it out, even I am impressed and that is hard to do:lol:

Have to work  this obsession comes at a cost, I think I need a couple more jobs what with all the space in the new fishroom, can't very well be filling that with non fish related stuff now can I.

BlueAbyss 09-27-2009 04:14 AM

I think that colorful active fish is some type of soldierfish or squirrelfish.

fishytime 09-27-2009 04:17 AM

Delphinus 09-27-2009 05:29 AM

The lit skimmer is a neat idea but I wonder if you'll find you'll be scraping coraline out of it more frequently because of that..

Nice fish!!!!

bauder1986 09-27-2009 05:40 AM

Thanks, trying to make this as clean and quiet a setup as possible, still lots of little things to do and then I will post pics of the details. No plans for corals right now but Marie has a giant anemone she wants rid of so we will see how that fares.

bauder1986 09-27-2009 06:51 AM

+1 but you might have to cut a hole into the wall so you can stand in the yard to get the picture of the whole thing!

Mrfish55 09-27-2009 04:34 PM

Terrible pic but here is the first FTS, trim matches the reef on the opposing wall, only diff is this one will have a small door along the top to have access to clean the acrylic. Need to figure out lighting plans and still need to complete the wiring so I can loose the extension cords.

Yes that French is HUGE, the door will be flush mount and get painted the wall color so it blends in, will try and get that done today.

Rock is roughly 700lbs, the rock in the display tank consists of about 10-12 very large pieces (one nearly 100lbs itself) and the sump has a few chambers full of smaller pieces.
