Wow, big changes from page 1!!! I love how you keep minimal live rock and have the low profiles on the coral with all that nice free water up higher. Seeing this, I'm going to try to achieve something like it in my 90, but want a ledge off on one side to hide the overflow maybe. Thanks for inspiration! :D

I have personally seen this tank and John you are a God when it comes to growing corals. I will be hounding you (more than I have ) to understand how you come up with the water clarity that you have mastered.

Great Work!!! Keep it up, always look forward to pictures from you!!!

lobsterboy 04-15-2009 05:57 AM

, thanks Brad.

but I think alot of Credit goes to Greg @ Coral master, some of my nicer pieces came from him.

so, i had went to grab a piece of birdnest that i seen in the back of my tank, and crash, my house of cards came down,, next time i use some ties, lol. anyways, decided to totally take out what i think is austrea, and move it to the side, as there was a constant battle between the table, xpress, and birdnest, you might see it up on the buy and sell, soon enough. lol. as i have no idea where to put that big ol bad boy.

so i just finished with the changing of the lights, only after 2.5months.
I must say that I see a big difference with the light. only with 4 fiji;s running, they look like a 15k. its awesome.
I took some pics, before and after, photo are not taken at same angle, so difference might not be noticable by photo.
after seeing this difference I will be keeping with the change out.
AND BIG THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS VIEWED THIS THREAD.
I NEVER THOUGHT IT WOULD REACH THIS HIGH 5700 VIEWS.
THANKS.

msg update

Hello everyone,

so I was really thinking about breaking down my tank, but after many pm;s, calls and a few visits, from some real good friends I have decided to keep the reef going.
I have had some great growth and color on most colonies since the last pics.
as well as a few new pieces added at the first of the month.
Should have some pics up, when I have some free time.

Thanks again, you know who you are.

Pazil 06-13-2009 01:06 AM

Thats awesome man... I am so glad that you are keeping the reef going..... nothing worse than losing passion for something that you enjoy...:biggrin:
