If you want performance get some Potenza RE01Rs! AMAZING tires but expensive LOL
As for all the rest of you I got 126,540km on my set of tires and still have 3/8" of tread left... Anyone top that?

I will either buy from the dealership or one of my tenants. Coopers are out....

Have to decide soon and book in....gonna get warm this weekend!!

It seems the main concern is tread wear so you don't really want performance tires as higher performance typically means less life. Stick with typical all season tires and you'll get the best bang for the buck in terms of tread life.

+1 you should get all seasons. It seems like youre looking to get the best bang for your buck.

Theres no need for performance tires for a mazda 3. Find the quietest one with good wet/dry traction. I would recommend Kumho Ecstas or Michelin Pilot Sports.

I second run flats are garbage! Crappy ride, ****ty life, horrible traction, and if you get a flat you can only drive for 50km and your tire is then shot. Might as well carry around the green goo! I always laugh every time I'm at the dealer and some poor sape is at the counter thinking he was just getting a tire repaired but rather has to buy at least two near tires at $350 each  I've never use run flats again.

I run Toyo Tires on my car and will be putting them on my truck this summer. I put the tires on in 2002 after the factory tires wore out but I also put winter tires on every year. I won't buy anything else and I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for.
