Hi

I am (naturally) in close ties with Chris Clough the developer of Ai for some time now and we spoke at length about what would be required.

Each fixture is 12" long and 5-1/4" wide so although one maybe fine for one direction (being a cube) it is reasonable to assume in the other direction it would not.

Personally, I think LED is the way forward and Chris has put the development in, coupled with the sudden advancements from CREE LED arrays bringing the PAR values right up.

It is a contentious subject which i will not get drawn into, I think everyone needs to do their own personal research and decide themselves if it is right for them. I say avoid deep discussions and try and search for the published researched facts and users experiences.

Well today i received the Bubble magus BM150pro skimmer.

First impressions - Absolutley mind blowing amazing quality!! Even the finest details eveything is so well machined every attention to detail has been thought of here.

OK OK yes we are the master distributors, but credit and Kudos here, they really have got this right, the quality is above and beyond what i have seen in $1,000 skimmers, all credit to them for this.

Some pics of course -

I took this one so you get an idea of size

Completed stand minus door handle but with the brackets for the Ai. These are 18" above the tank height (which is 24") to give good working clearance.

And the sump plus ProfiLux controller shelf

So its build time wahoo

The tank arrived in one piece from Miracle aquariums in Toroto Canada, fantastic job, well made and all edges as they should be, the drill holes are really smooth too, not a single nick :)

All drains and returns are bonded in, and the stand pipe put together :)

Just add water! I have now run the RO line up through the central air ductwork and to the tank. The slow fill begins.
