Actually, we should look into a fedex over night some time from your place to mine.. if I can be sent berghia nudibrachs overnight from Texas to Ontario via fedex, from Calgary to Ontario shouldn't be a problem.
UPS on the other hand.. would just screw stuff up. Your tank is sooo nice though, I love looking at the pics. |

heres a couple pics from the small tank, including a new friend for my blue assessor....I thought that my one expensive fish that I never see could use the friendship of another expensive fish that Ill probably never see.....a BSJ (blue spotted jawfish)....he shocked the heck out of me and actually found a spot right up against the front glass:biggrin:........ what is it about cameras????......I sit back and watch the fish and they are all out and about.....I put my face to the glass and there is an initial reaction of fear from my ugly face then they quickly settle down and go about their business.....but put a camera up in front of your face and.....WHOAH!!!!! WTF is that thing???? OMG its gonna get me!!!!!.....run for your life!!!!...... anyway best pics I could get so far....I might try leave the camera in front of the tank on the tri-pod for a couple days to let him get used to it.... http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMGP4972.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMGP4970.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMGP4969.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...IMG_0002-2.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMGP4974.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMGP4973.jpg |

The blue spot looks great babe! |
Love the porcelain crab too. Man I miss mine, had two, one that I bought, one that hitched in on something. The hitchhiker was a little like that last one you pictured, but with more red and orange. The bought one was the typical whitish one. Guess like anything over time they get old .. 3 or 4 years for the one and maybe 5 on the other. You don't seem to see them offered up for sale hardly ever anymore. Could be that I'm just not looking in the right places in the right times mind you.
|
WOW it didnt take long for your bluespot to settle in...
and yes that is an awsome feather duster.... lets just go over this... i give her a free skimmer and you reep all the benifits???????:mrgreen: |

well some "up" news and some "down" news......
first the "up"..........I decide that the little Hagen Glo lights that I was using on the small tank were....um.....lacking......so I kicked things up a notch with a TEK 24" 4 bulb unit....the wattage didnt change( as I was running two, 2 bulb Glos), but the reflectors alone should make a big difference......that and now the lights on both the tanks match*said in a male hairstylist/designer type voice* the other "up" thing is I picked up another feather duster....RC got some Hawaiians in and I took one that is almost completely white except for the middle which is an orangey/brown http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMGP4980.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMGP4977.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMGP4995.jpg now for the "down" news.......*sigh*.....and then there was two......I lost another clam:sad:.....that leaves me with two........I dont know whats worse.....loosing everything all at once(which really sucked)....or slowly loosing all of one particular thing over weeks, feeling helpless........I thought I would post a shot of my last remaining crocea (while I still can)... http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMGP4979.jpg A shot of my white porcelain crab avec octospawn, for Tony http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMGP4994.jpg I looooove this micro:mrgreen: http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMGP4987.jpg a couple LPS.....blasto and spawn http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMGP4996.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMGP4997.jpg and this is what happens when you are both, indecisive and lazy:mrgreen: http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMGP4998.jpg |

I have no life outside of work and the tank, Brad:lol:.....Im home most evenings:biggrin: |
Put frag plug beside that acro growing over your frag rack. Let it uncrust on plug... send to me. :D lol..
|
That is one sweet duster dude, I had 2 as well but one died off for some strange reason. But the up side was my guy Ryan at Big Als replaced it for free with 2 dusters that where growing together.
The downside for me as well is I too am down to 2 clams now. The latest clam to go was my very first clam I had purchased, it had sponge, mushrooms and little coco worms on the shell. One day when your going past Red Deer area it would be great to have you stop by and give me a few pointers to help me get some SPS going and living. |
Sorry to hear of the clam Doug.
That 'micro'... that's not an acan? I have something that looksa lot like it and it's an acan. I'm still fairly crap with IDs. When are you going to frag your eggrate lol? |
I seen those as well. Im pretty sure they are an acan even though they came in with the micros.
|
that sucks about the clams :( Dusters are lovely though :)

Loving that feather duster. Might have to find me some room for one myself! |
Sorry for the clam losses too. I know how you feel and I agree that I don't know what's worse, seeing things die all at once or seeing them go one by one. Been there in both cases and it's awful.

Hey no worries mang.....Ive been meaning to ask Kevin if he could do a nano-critter type order....I need me some more sexies.....ya they do tend to find an area and hang there....as you could see in the pic my white porcelain lives under my octospawn, which he shares with my sexy shrimp... Quote:
words cant describe how it feels huh?.....I dont think I will be adding any clams any time soon.....not sure if I had a clam disease or pathogen or if it was just to soon to put clams in the tank after the crash......either way there is a possibility that I will be moving again in the near future so the tank probably wont see any new bivalves for a while(o0f course Ive said that before about other thing and the reneged)..... Quote:
Have I mentioned that my Girly rocks?.....she is down visiting this w/e for V-day and brought me a little sumpin for a V-day gift.....its settling in to the tank atm and I will get some intro pics later today.....Ive been wanting it for years and am super excited to finally have it......anyone wanna venture a guess as to what it is??? zoa-apollooza http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMGP5011.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMGP5008.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMGP5004.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMGP5001.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMGP4988.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMGP4986.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMGP4985.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMGP4984.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMGP4983.jpg http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMGP4981.jpg |
