I have asked several different people what all should be in the sump and the only answer i really have received is some sponge to catch larger debri. You put it in your filter sock I am guessing. I know it is highly nessesary in FW have used it for years.

thanks Greg, yup, i use a filter sock to catch what ever is loose in the water, the sock i use is pretty fine so it gets mucked up after abit so i do change frequently.

and carbon is used to remove impurties from the water. like a britta water filter carbon does.

well, there was no luck in catching the crabs the last few nights,

so i think i will try some kind of other bait to see if they will go for that.

Bummer on the crabs. Have you tried a bottle trap?

lobsterboy 12-28-2009 08:16 PM

i was looking into this, and i think its def an option. i thought about getting a niger trigger as well. but would rather take out the crabs then get a new fish.

well still no luck with the crabs. So i am leavin them be.

did get some top downs tonight though. Got some damage on the first 3 pics, that i couldnt see front view of the tank. Burnt branch and the plate might surround the stag. and the chalice is losing to the confusa and fast.
