I think your other corals got depressed being around it. I hope he hooked you up with a frag of it. Stuff is like a weed once it takes off. Mine is one of the biggest colonies in the tank now

That is not the piece that turned green it is almost in the shade for the green to come out. This particular one is just off the bottom say 4 inches but it has very nice colour only green where it is shaded, i figured i would cut an arm and move the arm to find the best colour.

xtreme 09-30-2010 03:27 PM

I might have to snag a frag of that RP off of you when its ready. I'm sure we can work out a trade of some sort.

I finally motivated this last week and aquascaped the small tank.....Im thinking its gonna be mostly zoas and acans so I wanted plenty of flatish rocks to put stuff on.....heres what I came up with.....Im not sure Im happy with it, so it may yet change...*thinking it looks sortta "rice paddy terracey"*..I havnt seen the blue assessor since I re-scaped, but Im sure he is fine....I didnt see it for almost two weeks when I originally added it.....

Things are really looking up Doug :) Good to see you are starting to get your clams back in there. Whats your plan for the reno'd side in case I missed reading it somewhere ?

it just wouldnt be......right.....without a lovely clam:wink:......I was quite happy with the stock that was in the small tank before the crash.....Ive already replaced the blue assessor......Im thinkin maybe......replace the yasha hase goby....maybe get him a pistol shrimp buddy this time........Im not decided what if any other fish will get in there....I love little critters, so I have replaced two of the pom poms that I lost and the porcelain crab....will have to put some sexy shrimp in when we get them next....as for corals......probably just zoas and acans.....maybe the odd other thing or two......I dont know.......I will play it by ear:mrgreen:

Definately get a yasha goby/pistol shrimp pair :thumb: Also a cute clown goby would be cool

I like the idea of the yasha/pistol combo too.....I had a war paint clown goby in the small tank before the crash.....I liked him....very pretty fish, but kinda a do nothing kinda fish.....I think I need something with some more movement....

another fish made its way into the tank....the last of the tangs.....a small 2 1/2" powder brown.....he got "jumped in" pretty hard by the yellow and chevron and by the time I got the mirror up the PBTs fins were thrashed....the mirror worked and the pbt was able to settle in.....now the three of them hang together quite a bit and his fins are recovering nicely.....

some somewhat decent actinic shots

PPEs.........again........my track record with these things suck.....I've had them three times before this and Im 0 for 3....hopefully I can manage to keep them from melting on me this time
http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/IMGP4696.jpg

I missed my giant frogspawn that I had way back when in version 1....so I put an octospawn in the small tank:biggrin:

Did you use 1" PVC, or just kind of whatever fit best? Did you drill in the PVC for water exchange, or to prevent water from leaking in and going stale?
