That's because we girlys enjoy the full package  The FTS pic.'s look great, definitely not disappointing at all

It seems like every hobby I have has it's x-rated side of things. I play foosball and people are always talking about the fuzzy balls, stiff/straight rods, lubing the rods and ball handling skills. I come on to Doug's thread to see an update and now you've put the image of Laurie handling Doug's rock into my mind.....

It was only 3 hrs and it was worth it

Joking aside I am glad I went and helped out. He was pretty sad about everything and he needed a push to get back on track and not shut it all down. I'm glad I was there to help him out and get the tank going again.

sharuq1 07-11-2010 06:21 PM

I am so sorry to hear about your tank crash. My heart goes out to you Doug. If it makes you feel any better we went through one semi-recently that involved all our SPS dying in a matter of days-and we are moving yet again in September-so I really empathize with how you feel.

Keep chugging along. You have every reason to: you know you are good at it, this was a freak incident and they happen to us all, RC has great pricing (esp. for employees), you have so many people who care about you and support you in keeping at it. I mean look at this thread! It is over a 100 pages long. That's not just because of the pretty pictures.:grouphug:

If you are bored waiting for the coralline to come back you could always skin that stand

Can't wait to see it full of coral Doug! The aquascaping came out looking amazing, so many overhangs and caves.

no serious thou that was really nice of you Laurie to take time out of your day to help out.. It seems that is what we do as reefer's to help out regardless of who it is.. there never isn't enough time to help all .

lobsterboy 07-11-2010 08:05 PM

things seem to have stabilized over the past couple weeks......ammonia was at 0.....nitrates are still a bit high but not obscene at 30ish......so Ive started off with a few zoanthids, acans and due to a recent visit to E-town, I came home with some freebie sps frags(probably too soon for them, but they were free:surprise:) from Wes(bluetang3).....thanks again man!

I forgot to mention something cool that happened during the move.......I found that I had a hitchhiker fish.....thats right.....a hitchhiker fish......Mikey and I were pulling the last of the rock out of the tank and we notice this fish that looked sorta like my neon dottyback, but the colors were way off.....I thought maybe the NDB was showing some kind of stress patterning or something and then I saw the actual NDB.....anyways Mikey found what the fish was....heres a link... http://www.bluezooaquatics.com/produ...id=2030&cid=11

and as you can see in some of these pics, Im going through a major algea bloom.......bloom away I say and suck up some of these excess nutrients:lol:

some pics of the new acans.....

Here are a couple pics to make Doug's anticipation level go up. Doug's clams came to the clamsitter for a while until their home is ready for them once again.

Holy shite Sean!....sweet pics!.....thanks for posting them(and again for clamsitting).....you all know I am a sucker for a sweet little clam:twised:......seeing those pics makes me wanna re-think my decision not to plumb in the clam box.....they look so cool all clustered together in a big clam bed....one big happy clamorgy:surprise:

Delphinus 07-20-2010 03:04 AM

No seriously. I'm thinking about doing an order from fragalot. I've heard good things about their $5 frags. Anyone have any feedback?

^^^^ this is my perhaps all too subtle of a reference of another topic that just goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on. It gets to the point where when you see it, you want to smack the person asking and tell them to get a life.

Sort of like how box and clams are euphemisms for vagina, rocks for testicles and all the touching and stuff is like a reference for SEX. It's funny because it just goes on and on and on and on and on and on.

DiverDude 07-20-2010 03:10 AM

Yeah, but this is amusing and the fragalot thing....isn't.

So....Fishaholic...you gonna show us a picture of your clam ?

:jaw: :faint2: OMG I know that's kinda what we're joking around about but to have someone blatantly state it is shocking to see (even if it's somewhat understood by the consensus ) Getting a life now, sorry Tony for going a bit to far  Honestly we're just joking around and having fun with the references, not trying to upset/annoy anyone or go to far with it.

FYI this is an old pic. and I don't have that clam anymore.

Delphinus 07-20-2010 04:15 AM

I highly doubt anyone's actually upset or annoyed :p Sorry if I came across harsh: was actually intended as silly, but was nevertheless compelled to just come out and hugely obtusely state the obvious that there seems to be a, ahem, slightly undertoning theme to this thread. ;)

Seriously, I was laughing as I typed it in.

Carry on, I'll go back under my rock now :p

DiverDude 07-20-2010 04:26 AM

ok...so it would seem that I'm just about the only one without a nice clam.

Phew! I thought I pushed things a bit to far and was in trouble for turning the thread a bit more X-rated then it already was. I really didn't mean to upset or offend. It's just summer is slow on canreef and it's fun to joke around with sexual undertones  I thought I was doing pretty good with how I was wording things by not stating the obvious, until you pointed it :surprise: Glad to know you were laughing, feel free to join in
