anware you can mount it that you could T off the drain from your tank some into the rubber maid then drill the bottom or middle of it?

only other option would be to get another pump and pump it into your sump or tank after a T off from the drain is what im thinking

ANy idea's how???????

Looks good (not that it didn't before).

Can you have a shelf higher than your sump or display (not necessarily above) for the rubbermaid? Tee off the return pump or separate pump to feed, gravity return back.

Mark i was thinking of that actually, having the rubbermaid tub almost the height of the tank but have the water from the overflow box go in to the tub then from the tub to the sump where the skimmer would sort it out and then off to the return. however the all therock would get messy from the overflow water. And i would have to try and lower the sump, due to its beign elevated from the floor. I really like having the sump high so its easier to clean the sump out.

you dont need high flow do you? you can pick a low flow pump up for like $70-$100 and have it t off the drain with a valve to work on the flow

I dont think that you know what we are talking about there Chase. I want to run the rubbermaid tub as a add on to my system so I can use the rock as a filter. teeing that off will cause the water to over flow after the power goes out the only proper way is to run it above the tank like a refugium with out a light,.

well thats why i was thinking a t off half way, now that i think about your overflow idea silly me.
