Haven't made it down there yet. Gimme the heads up on a good SPS shipment and I might have to make the special trip. I usually work all around town but i've been getting lots of jobs in the south, close to home.

Im not sure Randi. This one isnt as nice as the frag that my bi-color ate. That one had more of the lime green in it. I dont believe there is another frag at the store. If you like acans wait until the Australia shipment comes in.....They are gonna be expensive but, OMG are they sweet.

I like the fish catching story!

The birdsnest I got from you is growing like a weed, which I love, and turning a more and more vibrant green as time goes on! The cap is beautiful, but its oddly being a slow grower. Thanks again!

How are you liking the new bulb?

The things we do for this hobby huh?
Your welcome Catherine.Birdsnest is a great coral for the ego....easy to take care of and grows really fast. Most of my montis took a while to settle in to the tank, but once they do settle down they grow pretty darn fast too.

Loooove the new bulbs. It really changed the way the tank looks. Im thinking I may swap in two of the KZ "new gen" bulbs. I placed them side by side with the Giessmann blue+ at the store and the color of the two bulbs is slightly different, although they are both supposed to be 15000k.

I might be removing my solar wrasse:sad:. I dont really want to but we got a few bonded pairs of "hooded" fairy wrasses in at the shop that I just cant pass up. I will need to rig up some kind of top first as I cant risk these new high-end wrasses carpet surfing. I think I will add the pair and see what happens. I know that I will be able to catch the solar wrasse as I have caught him three times as a bi-catch when I was fishing for my bi-color angel. I just think that two hoodeds, a solar and a carpenters flasher might be a whole lotta wrasse for a 110g tank. Also, Im still hoping that I will find my "holy grail" fish... a lineatus wrasse.*fingers crossed*

The beta fish (Cirrhilabrus bathyphilus) wrasses were doing really well so they came home from the shop last night. I released them into the display and they both dive bombed into the rock. The female found a good spot at the bottom of the tank and rested there for quite a while. The male didnt have it so good. The spot he chose is frequented by my now aggressive flame angel( he wasnt before, when I had the bi-color angel), who proceeded to harass (pun intended) the newbie for the rest of the evening. Im assuming the pair spent their first night in the tank alone. There was no sign of either of them in the morning and I spent my morning at work thinking I should have rigged up the egg crate top the night before. So......I ran home at lunch to find the pair reunited and not straying to far from what I guess is home base for them for now(a rock in the back of the tank:neutral:). Both fish ate with the rest of the gang first feeding and in watching them tonight they are slowly expanding their roaming. I havnt been able to get a pic of my own yet, bit I found this old thread about the fish from another forum that contains a few good pics http://www.reefs.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=69550& .
