Haha, awesome parkinson. Was great to see them get knocked out last night. Too bad it wasn't a sweep.

Sweep would have been nice. BUT, a presidential trophy winner has never been taken out in 5 or less games 1st round.

Look on the bright side 'Nucks fans you set a new record last night!!

I didn't know that. Good to hear! Lol

gregzz4 04-23-2012 04:06 PM

Ya, woohoo, so nice to hear :puppydog:

ensquire 04-23-2012 04:23 PM

I heard that there was another record set last night in Vancouver.
Emergency wards experienced a 1000% increase in broken ankles from so many fans jumping off the bandwagon.........:twised:

Now what do they do with Lou??????

mikeclarke 04-23-2012 04:31 PM

The Red Mile

I think it funny how all the Calgary folks are giving Vancouver a hard time. Way to make the playoffs! Calgary... now that is a fan base of band wagon folks.

Your're not a band wagoner when you're born and raised in Calgary. If it was Edmonton in the playoff's I would extend them the same curtsey's that I did Vancouver.

You want to talk band wagon. There was more bandwagon fan's cheering for Vancouver because they are "Canadian" even though there was more Canadian players on the Boston team last year. As well as the Kings have just as many Canadians as the Canucks do this year, 15 a piece if not mistaken. Jump on the Kings band wagon and cheer for Canadian players.

 Those that make fun of others loosing and get all giddy about it, are because their teams are even worse losers, so they want everyone to feel the pain.

I think the only other team that would take him would have to be Tampa. They could trade strait across for Lecavalier, he has an ob-seen contract as well. If they never signed him for such a ridiculous contract it would be easier to dump him.

I have respect for him though, he did aid in the gold metal for Canada. I would like to see him stay in Van though. I think Calgary could use Schnieder more lol. So we can dump kipper and Iggy while they're still worth something and start re building.

parkinsn 04-23-2012 06:52 PM

On a side note. I would also like to see Chicago take the series now, just so Torres has to pay out of his pocket for the hit on Hossa next season. Just my $.02

I agree that Lou has gotten the short end if the stick, not sure who to blame for that though. not a lot of loyalty shown to him when it really wasn't his fault they lost first 2 games.
As for the Flames, they had better start the sale now. They are starting to look like the Oilers of past. Struggling for that last playoff spot and for what. First round exit or middle draft pick. I'm an Oiler fan and cheer for ABC (anybody But Calgary) but the longer they hold on to aging assets, the longer the rebuild will take.

parkinsn 04-24-2012 06:59 PM

Yes and no. It's kinda a good thing for both parties. I bet he goes to TO. Edmonton could use him too, but I don't think they can afford him once they resign all the contracts they have coming up.

Doug 04-26-2012 01:33 PM

Doug 04-26-2012 02:31 PM

I would like the lone remaining team from canada to win tonight but always been a Rangers fan, so kind of not sure who to cheer for.

parkinsn 04-26-2012 03:00 PM

It would be nice to Ottawa win. Not only because their Canadian but to see the top seed knocked out as well.

Oilers 04-26-2012 03:30 PM

GO OTTAWA GO! It's nice to see Alfie winning a game 7 before he retires. He deserves at least that!

SeaHorse_Fanatic 04-26-2012 05:21 PM

Go Ottawa.

I have been very disappointed at how much hate there has been on this board for the Canucks. Personally, if the Canucks aren't in the playoffs, I cheer for pretty much any other Canadian team. That is obviously a rare thing nowadays from the posted comments.

On the other hand, I've always said that if they're not going to go really far in the playoffs, I'd rather they get knocked out early so I (and the other fans) can get on with our lives and not be stressed out. Last season's long run to the finals was great and exciting, but months of planning our days around each playoff game and holding our breaths with each game was a tad stressful.

Go Ottawa Go!!!!

parkinsn 04-27-2012 02:28 PM

Pretty disappointed with the out come of both games last night.

Get over it, just because you like the canucks doesn't mean everyone else has to.

a lot of people would not call you a true fan, but rather a band wagon jumper.

So cheering for another Canadian team if your own home team is knocked out means you're a band wagon jumper. Hmmmm. Interesting. I guess this applies to everyone who was posting or thinking "Go Ottawa" eh?

And I guess you talked to "a lot of people" about this. Glad you have a life.

The Grizz 05-07-2012 04:50 AM

YES YES YES!!! L.A. in 4 games over St. Louis

Could this be the year of the King??

Lance 05-07-2012 05:40 AM

Wow! LA is 8-1. And against two of the top seeds. I'm kinda thinking they're going all the way. Sutter + Richards + Carter = Stanley Cup.

parkinsn 05-07-2012 05:08 PM

Good job LA!!

Lance I think its more Sutter + Brown + Quick = Stanley Cup.

Hopefully Phoenix Wins tonight. They got nothing on LA.

LA vs. NYR Final? LA knocks out the 2 top seeds 2nd and 3rd with a cup?

The NHL would wet themselves over that...

Its possible but I don't know if LA can keep up the pace. time will tell.

Steve

bignose 05-08-2012 04:58 AM

LA has been amazing 1 loss 2 series. Penner must be laughing right now he gets traded from the Oilers to LA and is probably going to the finals! Oilers are my team but talk about irony.

SeaHorse_Fanatic 05-08-2012 06:15 AM

So LA vs Coyotes. Hope Coyotes win since they are ex-Jets afterall.

Guess the whole season for standing is for not. At least not in hockey. Wonder why they even bother.

StirCrazy 05-09-2012 03:27 AM

ok its official, just put in my line up for the last two round in the cbc kia play off pool, going for a LA vs. NYR final.

Glad to see some of you are coming around

I'm 9/10 for my bets right now. NYR winning tonight will get me 10/10. LA beating Phoenix will and NYR beating Jersey will be the next round of bets.

Wow.. that's impressive. Maybe TSN should be giving you a call instead of Maggie the monkey. But then, Maggie did way better than those TSN analysts :twised:

I took LA of course

I took lots of money last year from a couple of my co-workers on the VAN/BOS last year . This year I told them they could pick their choices first, but I get LA always. The only team's I got to pick were NYR, LA, for the past round. The first round I was stuck with the under dogs for what we did bet on. Honestly I was hoping Nashville would have taken out Phoenix. But, battle of the underdogs now.

I also have a new bet that Calgary will win a cup before Van does. Could be a long time before either of us have to pay up
