FYI I'm kinda using that tank as my "grow out" fish tank. As soon as my cowfish is big enough to handle the flow and not get stuck in small rock work spots he will go into the 230g reef and as soon as my harlequin tusk gets a lot bigger (will take awhile since he's only about an inch long) he will go into the 230g fowlr, as well as the leopard and mystery wrasse when they get bigger. |
The 80g tank is 4 feet long, 2 feet tall and 16 inches deep/wide.

Just for Dawn, my new maxi mini anemone. It opened up even more last night then in this pic, but the pic I took was a raw file and I don't know how to access the image  I must say I really like it and I'm tempted to get another one.

I was looking at some of my old photos and saw this pic of my blue line trigger when he was a juvi about 2 inches
http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...k/DSC_0041.jpg It's amazing how much he's grown! He's about 5-6 inches now. http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...0/DSC_0018.jpg |
I now know what my next trigger is going to be  thanks Laurie. That mini is so nice, I want some now :surprise:

http://www.aquariumdomain.com/viewSp...ine.php?id=74# I've seen them for sale at Ocean City (now called Ocean Creation) in Calgary and at Blue World in Edmonton. I'm sure Red Coral could also get them in. As for the mini check big als next time your in Edmonton |
Newest addition my juvi 1" Blueline angelfish
http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...0/DSC_0167.jpg http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...0/DSC_0168.jpg These pic's were taken the day I got him on Oct 9th. He's in my FOWLR tank for now. I thought since he was so small that my king angel would ignore him, unfortunately that's not the case, but for the most part the King leaves him alone. Just chases him into the rock work every now and then, hasn't hurt him yet. It's strange to cause the blueline angel is literally the same size as the King angels tail so you'd think since he's so small he wouldn't even bother with him. |
Nice Trigger! He's going to be trouble when he grows up, eh!

Also he seems to be the only similar shaped larger fish my King angel can't really bully. They do fight every now and then but the trigger will stand up for himself and not back down, so my King tends not to pick on him to much. |
Bit of an update. On the sad side of things a couple of weeks ago my red fuzzy dwarf lionfish decided to jump out of the tank and a few days later my harlequin tuskfish didn't look to good and he's been MIA for over a week now  (kinda wonder if my mystery wrasse harassed him to much or something as I've noticed he's started chasing my leopard wrasse around)
On the bright side of things awhile ago I got a rainbow wrasse and mandarin goby that are doing well and another maxi mini anemone purple/green. |
So last night I go to clean up my mixing tank for water changes and I look into my refugium (I moved my cheato and mangroves back into the sump to make room for more rock in the 80g) and low and behold I see my orange starfish :surprise: I had been wondering why I hadn't seen him in the display for awhile, but I was surprised to see him in the sump! That means that he went through my overflow into my plumbing pipes and traveled through about ten feet of plumbing pipes before getting to my sump. Crazy! Happy he's ok though.
He's back in the display now here's hoping he stays put. http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...0/DSC_0197.jpg http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...0/DSC_0198.jpg |
