Missed the boat on the group order, but I just put in a $250 order for myself! :D

jalemboo 01-28-2009 04:11 AM

Thanks again Greg. What is the best time for me to come by on Thursday?

digital-audiophile 01-28-2009 04:16 AM

Depending on when it ends up in my hands I should be back at my place by 1:00 barring any problems. I'll post here and email when it arrives and I am enroute back to my house and everyone's welcome anytime after that.

You'll all have to excuse the mess of the basement but I am in the midst of renovating, the new floor is in but I am now working on patching walls and painting.. it's a slow process when you have an 18 month old daughter at home... speaking of that she goes into bed at 7:00 so for anyone coming in the evening I just ask that we be as quiet as we can as to not wake her up.. I fear the wrath of my wife :p

digital-audiophile 01-29-2009 01:12 AM

The frags are on their way. Looks like they will land just before lunch. I am booked with a client for lunch so as soon as I am done that 1:00-1:30ish I will head home.

:)

I'll post up again once they arrive tomorrow.

Just checking the weather network I sure hope there are no delays on the flight here.

jalemboo 01-29-2009 04:40 AM

thanks Greg, i'll text u tomorrow for updates.

Rbacchiega 01-29-2009 05:00 AM

Greg, in the email you sent me your cell and homeline are the same??? Is that right??

Trigger Man 01-29-2009 05:27 AM

I work till 5 so I'll call you after that because i'll be in the area and hopefully I can drop by to pick up my frags.

I must have screwed up :p Anyhow.. my cell is the best to get me anyways, that thing never leaves my side.

digital-audiophile 01-29-2009 05:15 PM

It's here!! :)

I went through and everything looks good. The heat packs are dead but everything was still warm. I grabbed a couple of the back heat pads (thats all they had at the drug store) and put them in the box to help keep it warm, allthough my office is like an oven.

So I have a lunch with a client in half an hour and I will head home right after that, so I should be in the door by 1:30-2:00 so come by anytime after that.

Rbacchiega 01-29-2009 06:07 PM

stooooooooooooooooooked

FlamesFan 01-29-2009 06:59 PM

noooo I am unhappy you went and spent money to keep them warm. This has cost you enough of your time it shouldn't be costing you money out of your pocket aswell.

michika 01-29-2009 07:24 PM

I want some photos! I'd still bummed I couldn't get in on the order, so I'm going to live vicariously through all of you. Hurry up and get home Greg so you can tell us all about the pretty things you all got.

Frenchie 01-29-2009 07:30 PM

Nice! I cant wait to see them. It feels like x-mass morning!

digital-audiophile 01-29-2009 09:13 PM

Sweet, A bunch of folks have been through already. everything looks great!

Rbacchiega 01-29-2009 10:19 PM

just got home and am acclimating as wel speak...I lost one frag in transit (one of the chalices I think...grrrr) but the rest is doing well. Almost all of my zoa frags (10 of them) have opened up already and they've been dripping for all of 15 minutes...

thanks again Greg for putting this together....and if the Clam goes missing I don't know who has it

FlamesFan 01-29-2009 10:56 PM

Yeh mine are doing great. Superman is glowing and extended, both zoo frags are opened and the other SPS are starting to extend their polyps.

K, my camera is like one of those cheapy sony ones, mixed with my amature hour skillz makes for bad pics but here's the pics of the SPS frags I got. The superman was the best one of them all, the whole disk was one good size frag.

The packaging was fantastic. :)

Rbacchiega 01-30-2009 12:58 AM

For one frag, honestly, not too worried about it.

Happy with everything else! woot woot!

digital-audiophile 01-30-2009 01:25 AM

Wow, that sure made for a hectic day! I`m glad everyone is happy.

It was nice to meet a bunch of new people. :)

... and no.. that clam isn`t for sale :p LOL

Delphinus 01-30-2009 01:39 AM

Now with words like that, I want to see said clam. (pretty please)?

digital-audiophile 01-30-2009 01:50 AM

LOL! I'll take a picture of it tomorrow Tony, I just realized my camera is in my daughters room and she is sleeping.

Delphinus 01-30-2009 01:52 AM

 thanks, I'll wait (im)patiently until tomorrow ..

Rbacchiega 01-30-2009 01:55 AM

it's the most amazing clam I've ever seen. It's only...I'd guess 5 inches and.....hu-freakin-zah.

As soon as I walked down the stairs that's the first thing I noticed....followed quickly by the giant bta

Trigger Man 01-30-2009 03:59 AM

Just like to say thanks Greg for doing this again. It was great to meet you. Your tank looks great and that is really one great huge bta.

superg3 01-30-2009 04:29 AM

Same here, thanks for doing everything Greg. It was nice meeting you and your family. I wish I had a bigger tank like yours after coming home to my nano.

Frenchie 01-30-2009 01:56 PM

Thanks so much Greg, everything looks great! I wish I had a chance to see your tank. Another time.

digital-audiophile 01-30-2009 02:24 PM

Thanks to everyone for the kind words. I am my own worst critic when it comes to my tank so I am happy to hear that fellow reefers think it looks nice :) :)

I am glad that everyone was able to get the frags that they wanted. Yesterday sure was busy but it was worth it. I think I will take a break before I arrange another group order though ;)

Eduardo 01-30-2009 02:48 PM

Greg,

Thanks again for arranging this and it was a pleasure meeting you.

Phanman 01-30-2009 04:29 PM

thx again Greg for arranging this. Much appreciated!

Delphinus 01-30-2009 05:10 PM

<patiently awaits picture of clam, realizing that it's still not even noon for you guys so I can't even post a wee little reminder without looking impatient>

5gluder 01-30-2009 07:19 PM

Thanks again Greg. I rushed home to add my new corals only to find my Coral Beauty dead. Ah well you win some and you lose some.

Rbacchiega 01-30-2009 07:52 PM

...only some of my zoas have opened up all the way..others only have little bits of the skirts out and others have no extension yet what so ever. I'll give them time (I've read some threads where it takes some zoas two, three weeks even) but of course the ones that aren't opened yet are the ones that I'm most excited about...grrrr

I've got them scattered throughout the tank, but I'm thinking of moving them all into a zoa garden sort of. There's one area where my zoas that have brown skirts and deep green plates opened up right away...and have stayed open. I might move all the frags in that area and let em go nuts...

any suggestions?

Frenchie 01-30-2009 07:58 PM

I have one zoa frag that hasent opened yet too. I still have my fingers crossed that they will. One of the sps frags was bleached out this morning. Too bad it was a nice looking big piece.

Still, nice frags and great price!

hurley 01-30-2009 07:59 PM

most of my zoo's are doing the same thing, anything thats open has not opened fully, the skirts are still in. And a couple have some polyps falling apart but it looks like at least some of each color will pull through

Rbacchiega 01-30-2009 08:03 PM

I'll give it a while...20+ hours in a bag isn't the most ideal environment, so we'll give it time.
