Marlin that is a cool looking planted marine tank. I like the look, a reef tank without the blistering blue light, nice soft tones. Compared to a regular reef how does it compare for cost and maintenaince?

Thanks
It is tied into my SPS tank and serves as my algae filter so cost is not that bad. I am running a 175w 5500K bulb on that tank so that is what gives it more of the yellow color. The pictures are not that great looks better in person. |

What happened?!?!? |
It was already cracked, I broke it on purpose so I could carry it out of the house myself and make room for the new one. I probably shouldn't have posted it, I don't want to take the thread off topic.

looks like a legitimate '09 shot to me...
can't wait to see your '10 shot  |
I'd like to participate too even tho I'm not done yet. This is perhaps a placeholder that I can replace this year...but maybe not!
http://www.fishbrains.net/images/build/tiled1.jpg Update: guess I do have a new pic for this year! My tank is cycling. http://www.fishbrains.net/images/build/rescaped5.jpg |

On photobucket when you move your curser over the picture four options will show up. Click the bottom one which will copy it and then go to canreef page right click and paste. It will show up after you submit your post.

the option in question should be the IMG option I believe.

It is actually about 10" longer on either side. Left side has my monti garden and the right side has a 8 head Octospawn and a few sps frags. It is had to get the whole thing in with my point and shoot camera.
How is the weather in Flin Flon? I have a friend that lives there. He works in the mine. Keith. |
Lol, a great many of the people that live here work at the mine...
http://www.canreef.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=48709 The weather has been pretty good actually, reasonably warm for January. Pretty chilly last night but good today  Hopefully it keeps up. And again, your tank is beautiful:biggrin: |
Looks great Tom. What is that lime green coral in the last pic near the middle left? Its in lots of other pics to I guess :)

I started stocking this tank in march of 08. My fish have been really shy since adding a yellow eye'd tang yesterday. They are all guarding their territory lol.
