Thanks John, Still waiting for you to come by! Too bad your crazy busy. Ah yes, I am not alone in needing help haha. Thanks for that chalice too! I got a pic of it in that post above! The orange danae is looking good too, polyps out and all, as with the astrea and the unknown one haha.

Mike, I didn't realize you were into frags. I made a bunch of "christmas mille" frags, let me know if you want one. If not let me know if you want me to pm you ahead with WYSIWYG pics next time I make frags (which is going to be soon at this rate). Until I get my new tank, I think the crazy growth and my addiction to buy will force me to frag on a monthly basis.

Hey Anthony, nice to meet you last night. I enjoyed looking at and learning about your tank setup. The frags are in my tank and appear to be alright at the moment, but I will have to adjust my flow because I do not have enough where they are placed. But I can fix that soon enough.

Talk to you later.

Myles

Haha. Thanks, I really liek it too. I believe it is an echinata. I have had it for quite some time. It is one of my largest pieces. But that is because it is considered a pretected species in my tank haha. It is on the fiances "do not frag" list. It is her favorite and she calls it her snowflake. I think only 1 person has ever gotten a frag of this before.

Ya Dude 08-05-2009 12:00 AM

thats definitely a sweet coral.I have the same one (not AS nice) and believe it to be A. Turaki.Echenata have more tubular coralites.Whatcha think?

Navarchus 08-05-2009 01:44 AM

I think its a deep water coral....
Where is it located in your tank? under what light?

Millepora_Maniac 08-05-2009 02:10 AM

Hey man, I don't mean to inteject here, I didn't read the whole thread, but If any one gave you any advice,I would disregard it, and go with what you were doing at the beginning. That's some of the nicest colour I've ever seen. Nice work!!

It is slowly getting better. I have not neglected it as much as when you came last to visit, but still only really looking at the tank once a week or less :(

Thanks, I think that soon is right now though. i need to find a temporary tank that's about 180-200 gallons for a temporary refuge till I can get a big permanent display up.

Hmm.. not sure. I guess you can never really be 100% sure of this kind of stuff. It may grow like a turaki in 1 persons tank but a frag of the same thing could grow out longer and skinnier in another persons tank. What I believe to be a turaki in my tank looks very different though. but you never know haha.

Deep water for sure  i have it up high near the center of my tank. It is the only place it will sort of fit at the moment. There needs to be major re locations when i get a bigger tank. Hopefully before my corals kill each other.

Wow. I dont even know what to say when someone says that to me. I really had no clue what i was doing from the begining so I cant know what i am doing right or wrong. But i will definitely be more careful about too much lighting in the future. After reducing the amount of light in my tank 2 weeks ago I noticed alot of my colors turning more vibrant and less paled out. Thanks for the motivating words

Update time! I finally got a day off so thought it was fine time to get the camera out to see how my zoa/LPS tank was coming along without a water change for over 3 months. Everything seems happy to me, but maybe just not growing too fast.

Here is a cyphastrea decadia I found under some rocks in my SPS tank, I thought it was long gone since I haven’t seen it for probably over a month. Glad I still have it, the color is starting to come back too.
