Yes, I'm a bit jealous.

Looks fantastic!! Wow great pictures.

tang daddy 11-20-2008 06:34 AM

Nice build...

I had a few questions for you if you don't mind I'm in the process of setting up a new tank a 48g 36x18x18 how does the lockline hook up to the return pump?
Reason why I ask is the ehiem pump you have will be similiar to the return I want to use on my new tank, except my tank is not drilled so basically 30% of the back is the overflow sump area 70% for display. The return pump has a diameter of .75 of an inch which I was planning on hooking up a hose to but also would like to hook it up to lockline.

Also are you running a skimmer?

thanks for your time.

LeeR 11-20-2008 02:42 PM

the lock-line runs out of a threaded bulkhead,

if you go to jl or oa they both have lockline and will set you up with the right stuff... link to jls lock-line stuff

http://www.jlaquatics.com/info/213/L...ar+Piping.html

and the skimmer is a tunze nano.

if you got anymore Q feel frre to pm me and ask.. or if i didnt answer your question properly.

tang daddy 11-21-2008 10:29 PM

Hey thanks for the reply I'll head out to oa this weekend.

I like your green chalices maybe we can trade up for some of my chalice cheers.

OCDP 11-22-2008 06:59 PM

Ahh, one of my favourite tanks on Canreef. Love the shallow look and the livestock choices. Your clams look extremely vibrant and healthy!

im bored of this thing.... well more of the rock thats in it. not sure what to do about it. im thinking i may sell off alot of my coral to make some room.. also what would hapen if i took the rock out smashed it into smaller peices and maybe drill some holes in it too make some sort of more interesting structure.

fishytime 12-08-2008 11:59 PM

Dibs on the zoas if your gonna sell em.....and wanna ship em??? I say go for it....be creative....its worth the farting around.

LeeR 12-09-2008 03:25 AM

was more thinkin of selling the lps.. as there really to big for my tank anyways. i should maybe start fragging some of my zoas though. might make them grow faster.

fishytime 01-05-2009 03:59 AM

If you dont mind me asking....what were the features that made you go with a vortech? I recently decided to order tunze pumps.

LeeR 01-05-2009 04:21 AM

no cord in the tank, wide spread flow dont have to have any other pumps... though it is rather large. (to bad the didnt make a nano version)... now that i say that it will probably hapen... other then that not much.. tunze was my second option.

will post some pictures of it in the tank tomorrow

Boomboy 01-05-2009 05:23 AM

Wireless...the battery back up.... I just kept getting hung up on the fact that you cant direct them. I wish someone could combine the two and we could have the perfect pump.

Rbacchiega 01-05-2009 07:22 AM

Great Looking Chalice...If you ever want to get rid of them...*ahem* I GUESS I could take them off of you.....I guess.
