Koralia #3

" Sarah thanks for your kind words "
I have just installed a Koralia #3 to bottom right side wall directed towards back wall...as the flow hits back wall and rolls down towards bottom sweeping all the crap out from caves thus doing the job I can't get at...after moving the swivel head a number of times in order to get the right water movement...cord from the pump has been hid between wave box and back wall...All in all it's doing the job.

Your memory is fine... it's a flower pot, ie goniopora.

The Lab where the prints where made would have increased the saturation and added some density

J

Jason McK 09-04-2007 03:43 AM

Through it in photo shop and did some basic adjustments that a typical photo lab can do

Catherine:There're together all the time, maybe because they have been in the same tank at Hidden Reef for awhile.

Sarah: So far they've left everything alone...They rest in crevasse together.

Yes a photoshop program can help bring out the true colours you see but be careful not to add too much saturation. You usually should only have to darken the picture a bit if the colours appear washed out from too much light exposure. You might also want to increase the resolution on your monitor. Even the picture that Jason adjusted looked washed out on my laptop but looks great on my home computer.
The tank is coming along very nicely. Good job!

Check the white balance on your camera, also make sure you have no wierd color settings, like warm or sunny or some fool thing. If you can take pictures in RAW mode do that. Then any even googles picassa(?) (free) has an automatic "fix" mode balances colors/light etc... If you have an SLR than chances are you can do RAW. I luck out my DSLR has no "auto" modes so it shoots what I want it to.

Lost One of Ours.

Well, A sad Year for more than a few of us reefers...some of us lost our tanks and thought that was heart breaking.
But My good ol freind Ronnie (Redrover) lost his life in a battle with cancer a little while back.

Was good to have shared the same passion for the hobby, a few bad jokes, some good laughs, a few wobbly pops and some saltwater armpit rash...
My prayers to his loved ones, he will be missed.

Marc.

Aquattro 10-14-2008 05:06 AM

Sorry to hear that Marc....

Jason McK 10-14-2008 05:07 AM

Oh my what sad news. I had only met him a few times but he was always happy to talk about the hobbie.

Your thoughts are with his family and friends

J

Delphinus 10-14-2008 05:28 AM

Very sad news. :(

I just re-read this thread from page one. Ron's tank was amazing, he must have really loved this hobby.

Fare thee well, good sir.

Der_Iron_Chef 10-14-2008 06:19 AM

Very sad, indeed. It was obvious he took great pleasure and pride in his beautiful tank. My condolances.

Keri 10-14-2008 07:23 AM

I'm so sorry :(

seanoman 10-14-2008 12:19 PM

This is truely a sad day. I had met Ron a few times back at Hidden Reef when Marc was building his system. He was so in to his fish tank and loved everything about it. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Snappy 10-14-2008 02:21 PM

I too am very sorry to hear that.
