To keep this thread about all corals and not just show stopping sps, I took this pic of my favourite leather

Wow! I love this thread, I think I've seen more of a variety in SPS coloration here then I have anywhere else in a long long time. In short this thread is making me want to spend money on more SPS.

SuperFudge 06-01-2007 02:23 PM

Next time I'm out your way Dave I'm comin' by with some coral cutters. But then those delicate little Birdsnests break so easy.

Yes those birdnests do break away easy - but I have a tough time letting them go! Take this first one for example - another fine little birdsnest. Got it as a hitchhiker on a wild echinata colony maybe a year and a half ago. Seems to be growing ok - look forward to the green becoming more pronounced.

Also have this yellow birdsnest which is pretty unusual. Most go green but this one stayed yellow. Don't see too many pics like this (at least I don't), even in the US. And the green with purple poly birdsnest below is part of my collection as well. Not a great picture at all but you kind of get the idea.

I was just trying out my new zoom lens. I might not need a macro lens after all. No Photoshop, just cropped. One of my favorites, lots of movement.

EmilyB 06-03-2007 02:48 AM

WOW 220G !

Not to divert this thread, I'm going to respond on your thread on the other board, as I am very curious since you don't feed frozen, what is your copperband eating and how long have you kept it ?

niloc16 06-03-2007 07:46 PM

i took some new top down shots today, thought i might slip this one in here. the regal tang has lived in this coral since he was put it in the tank. he started out the size of a loonie and he still thinks he can fit in there and not be seen. little bugger has broke off tips flying into is 'camouflage' hole.

Thanks Darryl, you'll have to come get some. The picture doesn't really show that the tips are now turning violet.

Sorry Greg the pics are great, but you really have to see the tank in person to appreciate how nice your corals are.
