I think I will go after a free planet next ( 32 hrs to lvl3 culture )

When you click on the culture link it tells you to increase your cyber cafes but like I say I've got 6, still takes so long to get the culture points, I must be doing something wrong.
I don't think you'll loose all your destroyers but if you send one like I did against a planet with a starbase you'll loose the destroyer for sure, 50/50 you'll loose your destoyers if you send 2. If you send 3 destroyers you've got a 75% chance of getting the planet but you'll probably loose 1 destoyer.

I sent 4 Destroyers and 4 Transports ( 1 transport for each level of pop on the planet ) ... the unknown planet had a starbase level of 2 and in the end I lost 2 destroyers ... but I got a SU, +5 experience points and my Science went up to +25/hr :eek:

I took a risk and launched 2 destroyers at an unknown, and I won!!! But the planet says * unknown* for owner still... what do I have to send? I sent two colonial ships.... hope that works.

If the planet had a population over 0 you would have needed a transport for every level of population ( ie pop 2 = 2 transports ) ... if there is no population then the colony ships will be fine and can be dismantled for PP

There is no population at this time. Hence why I sent out two colonials. I guess I best start building up my transports for the next over taking MUAHAHAHA.

OK - WHO GOT ME ADDICTED TO THIS GAME!

Oh yea ... you cant send a transport unescorted ... so send at least one destroyer with a transport ... this game is brutally addictive :mrgreen:

addictive and a pain to learn, I've got two destroyers left at a planet I attacked, two colony ships on their way and a transport (cuz I found out that I nee the transport to kill the 1 population.
