Asmodeus, you got to get onto one of the old Canadian destroyers when they are firing the mortars. HP compressed air shoots a volkswagon sized projectile way the heck and gone... we sunk a fishing boat one time by shooting a mortar over an island the fishing boat was in a closed area and we had to go pick up the (wet) folks... do I need to tell you they were'nt in a joyous mood.

Ok, I've been biting my tongue long enough ... can't do it ... I gotta jump in with my own irrelevant/tangential opinions ...... and pad my post count too ... LOL

...

Have you ever noticed, the "Volkswagen" is a unit of volume? WTH? It seems so perfectly normal to say something like "the meteorite was the size of a Volkswagen" yet we NEVER, EVER say something like "it was the size of a Peugeot?" or "shoot an object the size of an Austin Mini" ... or whatever ....

weird.

What I want to know is ..... what if an object is the size of a Passat? I could say "it was the size of a Volkswagen" but I'd have to qualify it as "it was the size of a Volkswagen with terrible maintenance/quality issues."

But the TDI would "fly" further?..

When you hear volkswagen what do you think of...... I bet it's the beatle  Everyone knows what volkswagen is.... It's hard to find a country where the beatle hasn't been. Isn't the beatle the most massed produced car? How many people know what the size of a Peugeot is? I don't  Just thought i'd jump into this thread
