Well Bob is what we call a Lumper when it comes to his tank.....Maybe anti technology if you will. Refuses Technology for his tank because it's not natural but in all respect's having no technology on your tank is not natural. We won't get into that though.....just because  . So in Bob world I call lack of wanting to participate or add anything productive to the technological conversation "Lumper Talk"

Make sense

It must be a slow news day. You publish one smily, and it starts a whole new discussion. BTW Jon, I started the "Lumper" thing myself.

I'm wondering if this question would get an answer at the hydroponics shop... what their spectral aluminum is coated with.

I will try to find the place that quoted me the price if Steve or someone else wants, just say the word.

The only issue was that they were/are a metal supply place not a fabricator so you had to buy the whole sheet. I can't remember if they were willing to cut it onsite, I think they were, but the other complication was that one sheet did not meet the minimum order amount so you had to buy TWO sheets. So you definitely need to be comfortable sitting on a lot of spectral aluminium and hopefully even you have access to metalworking tools because then you have the luxury of doing whatever you want with it down the road. Definitely not for me, but someone else might be able to take advantage of the price maybe.

Can someone refresh my memory, what kind of thickness do we want for materials to make into reflectors?
