I actually don't mind Atlantis because I love McKay. But they also like to kill off my favourite characters every few seasons or so. And now they have Samantha Carter on there...it's just confusing. Recent favourite shows: Bones, House, Fringe, Flash forward, Criminal minds, Grey's anatomy, Private practice, Desperate housewives, Cougar town Yeah...I watch a bit of tv.... And there are just too many movies to list.... |
Ha, ha, there are very few movies I've watched more than once or twice. I'm a fan of some of the older stuff from the sixties, black and white, of all things. I actually went out and bought some of the DVDs.
Dr. Strangelove Or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb Stanley Kubrick is one fine Director and George C. Scott is hilarious as is Peter Sellers. The final scene with Slim Pickens riding an A-bomb down to his doom is pretty tacky by today's 'special effects' standards, but I still get a charge out of it. Young Frankenstein, Mel Brooks at his best with Gene Wilder, Mary Feldman, et al... You almost have to watch both of those more than once to pick up on all the nuances and hidden double entendres. Oh yeah, I like the old Clint Eastwood spaghetti westerns, Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More etc. Not much on TV interests me these days, too much reality crud. I want entertainment, not reality. I get reality every day when I get my tired carcass off the couch. Documentaries are cool and I'll watch PBS stations more often than other stuff. I'm thinking of cancelling much of my cable subscription, hundreds of channels & nothing on, plus the cable company is starting to p me off with the back & forth between them and local broadcasters about the possible TV tax. |
