From normal hard drives???? I'd be down for some for sure :D I have a dew old 4g hard drives and such, would they have the super magnets?

Yikes! I wouldn't be trying that photo with my Great White magnets... Even after using them for 3 years now, they still scare me.

The brackets are actually flux collectors, cutting in half or removing the magnets will reduce the strength substantially.

A flux collector is a simple device, it takes the power of the magnet on one side and dumps it to the other side almost doubling the power.
